UNAIR NEWS \u2013<\/strong>\u00a0Another proudest achievement came from an alumna of the Faculty of Humanities, 51动漫 (UNAIR<\/a>).\u00a0Imamatul Khair has gained a Fulbright scholarship to continue her master\u2019s studies at Bilingual, ESL, and Multicultural Education University of Massachusetts in Amherst, United States.\u00a0Imamatul shared some tips to qualify for the following Fulbright scholarship,<\/p>\n\n

Familiarize self with the scholarship and its provider<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n

\u201cThe Fulbright Scholarship has actually been around for a long time, not a new scholarship, funded by the United States Department of State and managed by The American-Indonesian Exchange Foundation (AMINEF),\u201d explained Imamatul. She added that Fulbright scholarships are well known in more than 155 countries.<\/p>\n\n

\u201cThis scholarship is also a\u00a0prestigious\u00a0scholarship and is\u00a0fully funded\u00a0from the start of the application.\u00a0So we don\u2019t need to be confused about looking for other funding because everything is free,\u201d Imamatul explained.\u00a0Further information regarding this scholarship can be accessed through\u00a0www.aminef.or.i<\/a>d<\/p>\n\n

Familiarize self with the program and university <\/strong><\/h5>\n\n

Imamatul explained that she chose to apply for the Fulbright scholarship because this scholarship provided the program and university of her dreams. Furthermore, the study program she has chosen now is a program suitable for the context of Indonesia.<\/p>\n\n

\u201cChoosing a program is a very long process because you have to consider various things. Including, can it be useful for Indonesia if the knowledge is brought back to Indonesia, \u201cexplained Imamatul.<\/p>\n\n

Broaden experience<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n

\u201cOrganizational experience can be an asset so that the scholarship providers are interested in us.\u00a0In my personal experience, I was active in various organizations during college that is relevant to the program I want, \u201cexplained Imamatul.<\/p>\n\n

Imamatul also said that her active participation in community service activities, being named Outstanding Student in 2017, greatly supported her as a Fulbright scholarship recipient.<\/p>\n\n

TOEFL IBT, Academic Test, and Interview<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n

In addition to non-academic field activities, the academic achievements must also be prepared because there are academic tests for the selection process. Likewise, the TOEFL IBT must be prepared in advance.<\/p>\n\n

\u201cRegarding the\u00a0interview\u00a0itself, find more tutorials on the internet.\u00a0Because the\u00a0interviews\u00a0involve lecturers and directors, we need a diplomatic answer strategy,\u201d explained Imamatul.<\/p>\n\n

Never give up<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n

This Fulbright Scholarship is not the first scholarship Imamatul has applied for.
