Instead, one could make bright achievements across other fields, like sports, arts, and pageants. Gaining such achievements even gives extra points for mastering other skills to help build the future.<\/p>\n\n<p>One of the talented law students is Tiara Astri. The third-year 51动漫 student was named Second Representative of East Java Literacy Ambassador 2022.<\/p>\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Literacy goes beyond reading and writing<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n<p>To <em>UNAIR NEWS<\/em>, on December 12, 2022, Tiara explained the Literacy Ambassador\u2019s role in inviting young generations to the field of literacy and preservation of ancient manuscripts.<\/p>\n\n<p>The major she is currently in is related to the title she was awarded, as literacy goes beyond reading and writing. Literacy also means improving self-potentials.<\/p>\n\n<p>\u201cLiteracy is to read the word and the world. There are six basic types: literacy, financial literacy, cultural and citizenship literacy, and other kinds we need to possess,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Expanding network and experiences<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n<p>During the selection stage of the 2022 East Java Literacy Ambassador, Tiara gained interesting experience and network. She got to know many people with diverse backgrounds.<\/p>\n\n<p>\u201cI got to know people from the agency and library. A representative of East Java Literacy Ambassador has a lot of programs to run. Every representative must create a program for the region they represent,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n<p>All the 2022 East Java Literacy Ambassadors will collaborate on several projects.<\/p>\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>First batch of East Java Literacy Ambassadors<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n<p>The Literacy Ambassador selection, which Tiara participated, was the first. Zain Halik initiated the idea, the founder of One Star Management, a talent agency for models, dancers, singers, and masters of ceremonies.<\/p>\n\n<p>\u201cThe selection was held on September 25, 2022, while the Grand Final was held on December 4, 2022, in the Lagoon Avenue Mall, Surabaya,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Suggestions for fellow students<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n<p>Tiara further shared some suggestions for fellow students to join such ambassador contests.<\/p>\n\n<p>\u201cIf you\u2019re interested, just go for it. Winning and losing are parts of life.
