{"id":179548,"date":"2022-12-23T09:27:25","date_gmt":"2022-12-23T02:27:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/unair.ac.id\/unair-adds-one-more-scopus-indexed-scientific-journal\/"},"modified":"2022-12-23T13:56:27","modified_gmt":"2022-12-23T06:56:27","slug":"unair-adds-one-more-scopus-indexed-scientific-journal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/unair.ac.id\/en\/unair-adds-one-more-scopus-indexed-scientific-journal\/","title":{"rendered":"UNAIR adds one more Scopus-indexed scientific journal"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>UNAIR NEWS \u2013<\/strong>\u00a0Throughout 2022 51动漫 (<a href=\"http:\/\/unair.ac.id\">UNAIR<\/a>) has made various achievements.\u00a0One of the latest achievements was UNAIR\u2019s scientific journal, The Indonesian Journal of Public Health from the Faculty of Public Health (FKM), was successfully indexed by\u00a0Scopus\u00a0on Tuesday (20\/12\/2022).\u00a0This journal started to publish scientific journals in 2004.<\/p>\n\n<p>The FKM\u2019s journal indexing has increased the number of UNAIR scientific journals indexed by\u00a0Scopus.\u00a0\u201cWith the addition of FKM\u2019s journal, UNAIR currently has five\u00a0Scopus-indexed journals,\u201d said Prof. Hery Purnobasuki MSi PhD, Head of the Institute for Innovation, Journal Development, Publishing and Intellectual Property Rights (LIPJPHKI) UNAIR.<\/p>\n\n<p>The five journals include the Asian Journal of Accounting Research (AJAR) from the Faculty of Economics and Business, Scientific Journal of Fisheries and Maritime Affairs from the Faculty of Fisheries and Maritime Affairs, Ners Journal from the Faculty of Nursing, Dental Journal from the Faculty of Dental Medicine, and the scientific journal from FKM UNAIR.<\/p>\n\n<p>\u201cHopefully, two journals in process and three additional scientific journals will be indexed by Scopus next year,\u201d said Prof. Hery.<\/p>\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Scientific journal submission<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n<p>As a matter of fact, the process of a scientific journal to be indexed by\u00a0Scopus\u00a0is not easy.\u00a0\u201cScopus\u00a0is an international level index.\u00a0In terms of scientific journals, this is the summit,\u201d said Prof. Hery.<\/p>\n\n<p>Scientific journals are submitted\u00a0online, but not all submitted scientific journals are successfully indexed by\u00a0Scopus.\u00a0Failure is possible in this case.\u00a0After submitting the journal,\u00a0Scopus\u00a0will send a review and an embargo when the scientific journal does not meet the requirements.<\/p>\n\n<p>\u201cImprovement of scientific journals cannot be done quickly, journal publishers are given one or two years for it,\u201d explained Prof. Hery.<\/p>\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Various benefits<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n<p>One of the benefits of Scopus-indexed scientific journals is that they open up wider opportunities for publishers to collaborate with various domestic and foreign partners.<\/p>\n\n<p>\u201cIf Scopus index it, scientific journals can be read by people worldwide.\u00a0It is possible if, for example, there are foreign academics who read them and are interested and offer cooperation,\u201d he concluded.\u00a0(*)<\/p>\n\n<p>Author: Icha Nur Imami Puspita<\/p>\n\n<p>Editor: Binti Q.
