UNAIR inaugurated 118 new vets in the 168<sup>th<\/sup> inauguration.<\/p>\n\n<p>The Dean of Veterinary Medicine, Prof. Mirni Lamid, drh, MP, opened the event and joined by Prof. Bambang Sektiari Lukiswanto DEA DVM, the Vice-Rector for Academic and Student Affairs; Prof. Dr. Muhammad Madyan SE MSi MFin, the Vice-Rector for Human Resources; the management and administrative staff of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine UNAIR; and the General Chairman of the Indonesian Veterinary Association (PDHI).<\/p>\n\n<p>Prof. Mirni congratulated the newly inaugurated vets in her welcoming speech. This achievement is not the end of the journey, instead, it is a new beginning to serving the community.<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"681\" src=\"https:\/\/unair.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/dokter-hewan-1-1024x681.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-189637\" srcset=\"https:\/\/unair.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/dokter-hewan-1-1024x681.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/unair.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/dokter-hewan-1-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/unair.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/dokter-hewan-1-768x511.jpg 768w, https:\/\/unair.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/dokter-hewan-1.jpg 1500w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n<p>\u201cYour battle hasn\u2019t ended yet. Instead, it\u2019s just the beginning. The real battle starts once you contribute to the community,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n<p>Though the education program is over, the new vets must take full responsibility for health workers. The Dean further reminded them always to maintain the professional code of ethics and uphold humanity in serving the community.<\/p>\n\n<p>\u201cAdhere to the professional veterinary code of ethics. Uphold humanity according to the oath you\u2019ve taken. Be honest, disciplined, and professional so that in the future, you will reap goodness from those around you,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"681\" src=\"https:\/\/unair.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/dokter-hewan-4-1024x681.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-189641\" srcset=\"https:\/\/unair.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/dokter-hewan-4-1024x681.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/unair.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/dokter-hewan-4-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/unair.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/dokter-hewan-4-768x511.jpg 768w, https:\/\/unair.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/dokter-hewan-4.jpg 1500w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n<p>In line with Prof. Mirni\u2019s statement, Prof. Bambang Sektiari Lukiswanto DEA DVM, the Vice-Rector for Academic and Student Affairs, called the vets to uphold veterinary medical ethics.<\/p>\n\n<p>A vet is an essential part of veterinary medicine, as it ensures the community\u2019s survival as a whole.<\/p>\n\n<p>\u201cWe take an essential role in the community, who are responsible for ensuring the environment and public health as a whole,\u201d Prof. Bambang said.<\/p>\n\n<p>Veterinarians have full responsibilities in community service and implementing professional codes of ethics.<\/p>\n\n<p>\u201cOnce you take the oath, there\u2019s a responsibility to carry.
