UNAIR NEWS<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013\u00a0Faculty of Medicine (FK)<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Faculty of Dental Medicine (FKG)<\/a>\u00a0are the oldest faculties at 51动漫.\u00a0Since its establishment, the two faculties have made many proudest achievements.<\/p>\n\n

Based on the ranking published by\u00a0Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings by subject of Clinical and Health in The Field of Medicine and Dentistry 2023<\/em><\/a>,\u00a0FK<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0FKG<\/a>\u00a0are ranked first nationally, ranked #10 in Southeast Asia, and ranked #601-800 in world.<\/p>\n\n

For this achievement,\u00a0the Dean of Medicine, UNAIR,<\/a>\u00a0Prof. Dr. Budi Santoso, Dr. SpOG Subsp. FER, gave a response.\u00a0According to him, winning this title proved that FK and FKG UNAIR are able to complement each other so that they could become the best in Indonesia.<\/p>\n\n

International strategy<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n

Prof. Budi Santoso or Prof. Bus also said that to make the best achievement, all activities in\u00a0FK<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0FKG<\/a>\u00a0are always directed to collaborate with international partners.\u00a0It can ultimately have a significant impact on both of them.<\/p>\n\n

International partnerships in\u00a0the Faculty of Medicine<\/a> are conducted by inviting as many\u00a0adjunct professors\u00a0or visiting professors as possible.\u00a0<\/em>There are four duties\u00a0of adjunct professors: giving lectures, collaborating in research, collaborating in publications, and becoming a promoter or\u00a0co-promoter of the department staff appointing them.<\/p>\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n

\u201c<\/em>Currently, the\u00a0Faculty of Medicine<\/a>\u00a0has 25\u00a0adjunct professors.\u00a0And in May,\u00a0God\u00a0willing, there will be three more from Leiden University,\u201d said Prof Bus.<\/p>\n\n

Furthermore, the publication for master\u2019s, doctoral, specialist, and and sub-specialist program graduates must be international and Scopus-indexed.\u00a0It can boost the rankings of\u00a0FK<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0FKG.<\/a><\/p>\n\n

\u201cThe current\u00a0double degree\u00a0program for undergraduates with Melbourne will also be expanded with Western Sydney University, Chulalongkorn University, Manchester University, and hopefully Malaysia and Taiwan (universities) will follow.\u00a0So that all international classes at\u00a0FK UNAIR<\/a>\u00a0take part in\u00a0double degree programs,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n

Ranking as implication<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n

Responding to the ranking, Prof Bus said that the main goal was not to pursue rankings but to carry out the Tri Dharma of Higher Education as well as possible. The ranking is a side effect and a motivation to be even better.<\/p>\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n

\u201cOur main goal is to provide a teaching and learning process, conduct a research process including publication, and carry out community service as well as possible.\u00a0Then the ranking will follow,\u201d said the Dean of\u00a0FK UNAIR<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n

Prof. Budi Santoso said that one day there will be leadership regeneration at\u00a0the Faculty of Medicine<\/a>.\u00a0He hopes that all teams will continue to work as an excellent team, produce the best works, and develop what already exists, improve and perfect them.\u00a0The goal is to let the wheel continue rolling towards improvement to be the best.\u00a0(*)<\/p>\n\n
