{"id":251790,"date":"2023-12-11T08:05:28","date_gmt":"2023-12-11T01:05:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/unair.ac.id\/unair-trkb-student-participates-in-automation-transformation-in-music-manufacturing-company\/"},"modified":"2023-12-11T13:30:21","modified_gmt":"2023-12-11T06:30:21","slug":"unair-trkb-student-participates-in-automation-transformation-in-music-manufacturing-company","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/unair.ac.id\/en\/unair-trkb-student-participates-in-automation-transformation-in-music-manufacturing-company\/","title":{"rendered":"UNAIR TRKB student participates in Automation Transformation in music manufacturing company"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>UNAIR NEWS<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Internship activities provide students with opportunities to explore knowledge and develop skills in a particular field of work.\u00a0Many internship programs are available for students to gain experience and learning, including the Emancipated Campus Competition Program\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/pkkmdikti.kemdikbud.go.id\/\">(PKKM)<\/a>.\u00a0Currently, the Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Engineering Study Program\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ftmm.unair.ac.id\/category\/trkb\/\">(TRKB)<\/a>\u00a051动漫\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/unair.ac.id\/en\/\">(UNAIR)<\/a>\u00a0has succeeded in gaining recognition as one of the recipients of this prestigious program.\u00a0One of the TRKB students who is taking part in PKKM is Naufal Fadillah Dhafa or Nopal.\u00a0He is undergoing an internship at PT Yamaha Musical Products Indonesia (YMPI).\u00a0He took part in the company&#8217;s automation transformation.<\/p>\n\n<p>PT Yamaha Musical Products Indonesia is a leading company specializing in industrial automation applications, especially in the distribution of musical instruments. As a subsidiary of Yamaha Corporation, Japan, the company plays a key role in supporting the global music industry with innovation and advanced technology.<\/p>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-59985b4ce69117b6b05e63456d6af954\"><strong>Innovative contribution<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n<p>During the internship period, Nopal has the responsibility of assisting the Production Engineer in carrying out his duties. The task involves improving automation on machines and designing systems to improve operational efficiency.<\/p>\n\n<p>&#8220;During my internship, my friends and I also designed 3D product\u00a0parts, workflows, selected components, and even constructed electrical circuits,&#8221; explained\u00a0the 2020\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/ftmm.unair.ac.id\/\">FTMM student.<\/a><\/p>\n\n<p>Nopal is involved actively in the cutting machine design project for the Support Injection Molding Recorder. This design involves applying the drilling method to the mold results, to strengthen the efficiency and quality of the process. <\/p>\n\n<p>The innovations proposed by Nopal and his colleagues include the application of an automatic\u00a0<em>pick and place<\/em>\u00a0system using a Pneumatic Actuator in the molding and finishing processes after the drilling process.\u00a0With this approach, the operator&#8217;s role can be replaced, reducing the potential for human error in production, as well as shortening production time significantly.<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"768\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/unair.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/Foto-1-2.webp\" alt=\"Naufal with other interns at PT Yamaha Musical Products Indonesia. (Source: By courtesy)&#10;\" class=\"wp-image-251703\" srcset=\"https:\/\/unair.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/Foto-1-2.webp 768w, https:\/\/unair.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/Foto-1-2-225x300.webp 225w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-4941ad86e97c9d130a48f3ccb9d31f29\">Use the privileges<\/h4>\n\n<p>&#8220;PT YMPI has a unique and disciplined culture by implementing 5S,\u00a0<em>seiri<\/em>\u00a0which means concise,\u00a0<em>seiton<\/em>\u00a0which means neat,\u00a0<em>seiso<\/em>\u00a0which means clean,\u00a0<em>seiketsu<\/em>\u00a0which means care, and\u00a0<em>shitsuke<\/em>\u00a0which means diligent.\u00a0This work culture is something that must be instilled by every worker while working,&#8221; said Nopal.<\/p>\n\n<p>During his internship, Nopal not only gained a deep understanding of the broad industrial environment but also gained knowledge about production flows.
