UNAIR NEWS<\/strong> – <\/span>Demonstrating<\/span> its commitment to international collaborations, 51动漫<\/a> (UNAIR) recently conducted a meeting to explore internship opportunities for its students in Japan. The meeting took place with the Japanese company Cam Tech in the Bali Room at ASEEC Tower on Monday, Jan 22, 2024.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n

Ryoon<\/span> Monguchi<\/span>, the owner, and Yasuhiro Oyama, the manager of Cam Tech, attended the event, along with Lina <\/span>Nugraha<\/span> Rani SE MSEI representing UNAIR as the Head of Career Development at the Directorate of Career Development, Entrepreneurship Incubation, and Alumni Affairs (DPKKA<\/a>) UNAIR. The event also saw participation from several faculties, including the Faculty of Humanities (FIB<\/a>) and the Faculty of Advanced Technology and Multidiscipline (FTMM<\/a>).<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n

Opening <\/span>o<\/span>pportunities<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/h5>\n\n

Monguchi announced that they are offering UNAIR students the chance to embark on a career with their company. Currently, Cam Tech boasts a revenue turnover in the hundreds of trillion rupiahs. Their objective is to elevate the quality of their workforce by hiring individuals with higher levels of education. <\/p>\n\n

“Thus far, our workforce from Indonesia has mainly comprised vocational school graduates. We aspire to bring in talents with higher education to open up broader career prospects in the future,” he explained. <\/p>\n\n

Career <\/span>p<\/span>ath<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n

Oyama, the Human Resources Development (HRD) manager overseeing international employees, elaborated on the multi-stage selection process, which includes individual registration, interviews, and an internship ranging from six months to a year, complete with <\/span>remuneration<\/span>.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n

“We aim to raise the educational criteria for our candidates. New recruits will undergo a probationary period, and if they <\/span>demonstrate<\/span> competence, they will be appointed to positions within our group of companies,” he elaborated.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n

Oyama also underscored the company\u2019s demand for IT professionals proficient in Japanese. He clarified that for IT roles, proficiency just below the N2 level of the Japanese-Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) is acceptable, while a minimum of N2 level is mandatory for translator positions. <\/p>\n\n

“We are actively seeking IT professionals with strong Japanese language skills, particularly for UI\/UX roles. <\/span>We’re<\/span> in the process of establishing<\/span> an office in Indonesia and plan to offer opportunities for Indonesian staff to <\/span>facilitate<\/span> the integration of Indonesian workers in our company,” he declared.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n

Connecting <\/span>s<\/span>tudents<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/h5>\n\n

During the event, Lina expressed UNAIR’s eagerness and readiness to recommend students who <\/span>fulfil<\/span> the necessary criteria to seize these opportunities. She views this as <\/span>a viable<\/span> avenue for students to gain valuable career experience in the Japanese sector. Additionally, UNAIR is prepared to <\/span>participate<\/span> in job fairs organized by Cam Tech in the future.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n

“UNAIR is committed to this initiative by creating avenues for global career opportunities. We are fully prepared to help our students who are interested in pursuing careers in Japan,” she affirmed. <\/p>\n\n
