The annual education exhibition was attended by the university leaderships. Prof. Dr. Mohammad Nasih SE MT Ak stated that UNAIR will accept a total of 9000 new students for the Diploma (D3), Undergraduate (D4), and Bachelor\u2019s (S1) programs through three tracks, namely SNBP, SNBT, and Independent Admissions.<\/p>\n\n<p>The AEE, as mentioned by the professor, aims to transparently introduce the selection system to prospective new students. \u201cToday we open the Airlangga Education Expo to provide the clearest and most comprehensive information to prospective new students. This way, students won\u2019t make the wrong choice of majors,\u201d he said.&#13;\n<\/p>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading has-contrast-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-a8191e44eb384801c4e9df7d4cc7ea8b\"><strong>Admission quota<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n<p>UNAIR has determined the quota for each admission track. A quota of 20 percent will be allocated for the SNBP, which will increase with the golden ticket program. \u201cThere will be an additional 2 to 5 percent through the golden ticket,\u201d said Prof Nasih.<\/p>\n\n<p>The golden ticket has several criteria: academic achievement, student council president, and religious achievement. Prospective students will be divided into several nominations. Meanwhile, for the SNBT, UNAIR will admit new students with a 30 percent portion, and 50 percent for the Independent Admissions. This latter is divided into several tracks such as Achievement-based Independent Admission, Computer-based Test Independent Admission, Independent Written Exam, and Independent Partnership track.<\/p>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading has-contrast-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-d95020e5e29d89f6f7abc8eee5d83dd6\"><strong>Criteria for assessment<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n<p>The assessment criteria for SNBP include the student\u2019s academic index and the school\u2019s index. The student\u2019s report card grades will be converted into the student\u2019s index. The student\u2019s position in the school\u2019s ranking is also a crucial factor. However, the evaluation also takes into account the performance of supporting subjects. \u201cFor instance, if a student opts for Medicine, the focus is on subjects like biology and chemistry,\u201d explained Prof. Nasih.<\/p>\n\n<p>School index is one of the assessment points, including participation in the AEE. Additionally, the quality of graduates from the respective schools when they become students at UNAIR is also considered.<\/p>\n\n<p>\u201cThe evaluation also involves students in UNAIR\u2019s science olympiads. The more they send students to participate in our olympiads with good results, the better the school index,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n<p>In the SNBT, the score determines the outcome.
