UNAIR NEWS<\/strong> – Eight Communication Science students from Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) 51动漫<\/a> (UNAIR) participated in a student exchange program in Singapore. It lasted three days, from May 14-16, 2024. Accompanied by one supervising lecturer, they visited Singapore Polytechnic. The main activity of this exchange was the creation of a documentary film project, which will be carried out in Malang and Batu in June.<\/p>\n\n

This year marks the second year of collaboration with Singapore Polytechnic, following a similar partnership the previous year. \u201cThe purpose of this activity is to strengthen the collaboration between both institutions. Since the Indonesian students will assist their Singaporean counterparts in filming the documentary, we conducted team building and location scouting,\u201d explained Mytha Eliva Veritasia, SIKom MA, the supervising lecturer.<\/p>\n\n

Team holds teambuilding and exploration in Little India<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n

Several activities took place during their stay in Singapore, including lectures with professors from Singapore Polytechnic, team bonding exercises, and a trip to Little India. One of the lectures was about content creation.<\/p>\n\n

\u201cThey were divided into several teams to generate as many ideas as possible for content creation,\u201d Mytha said.<\/p>\n\n

Valuable lessons and experiences<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n

As a developed country, Singapore offers many new insights as valuable lessons. \u201cI observed many significant differences. For example, in terms of facilities and how they engagingly package the learning process,\u201d Mytha explained.<\/p>\n\n

For Mytha, the activity provided new insights into effective approaches for delivering enjoyable lectures, especially for Generation Z. Moreover, through various activities, the students can generate creative ideas.<\/p>\n\n

Faiza Layalia Az Zahra, a participant, mentioned that one of the highlights of the exchange was exploring Little India. \u201cWe conducted explorations as a simulation for documentary film production. We were tasked with interviewing random people and conducting research. It honed both our soft and hard skills for the upcoming documentary film production,\u201d she explained.<\/p>\n\n
