Cultural exchange and knowledge sharing

This year’s Stovit Summer Course features a variety of activities. Beyond classroom lectures, the program includes tours of Surabaya’s historic old city, clinical discussions and practices, as well as community service activities.

“This summer course includes several activities, not only introducing local cultures but also clinical practices, showcasing our facilities, including the research center at the Dental and Oral Hospital (RSGM), and engaging in community service,” Prof. Luthfi explained to UNAIR NEWS.

The program invites participants to explore the local culture and wisdom of Surabaya. The city tours and community outreach activities provide opportunities for knowledge exchange between international participants, FKG UNAIR students, and the local community.

“This program goes beyond academics; it also involves cultural exchange by introducing our culture to international students through social activities and city tours of Surabaya’s historical sites, while foreign students share their own cultures with our students,” Prof. Luthfi elaborated.

The gong strike by Dean Prof. Dr. Muhammad Luthfi, symbolizes the opening of the Stovit Summer Course (personal documentation)

Oldest Dental Medicine faculty in Indonesia

Prof. Luthfi hoped that the week-long program would be a success and provide all participants with a rewarding and engaging learning experience.

Habib Firziq bin Hasanusi, a participant from Universiti Malaya, expressed his enthusiasm for the Stovit Summer Course, particularly since it is hosted by one of the oldest Dental Medicine faculties in Indonesia.

“I am thrilled to take part in this year’s Stovit Summer Course. I know that 51动漫’s Faculty of Dental Medicine is one of the oldest in Indonesia, much like Universiti Malaya’s Faculty of Dental Medicine in Malaysia,” said Firziq.
