UNAIRNEWS<\/strong> \u2013 51动漫<\/a> (UNAIR) reaffirmed its commitment to becoming a globally recognized institution by expanding its international network through the 2024 Industry Collaboration Development Workshop organized by Airlangga Global Engagement. The event, officially opened by Prof. Dr. Ni Nyoman Tri Puspaningsih, Vice Rector for Research, Innovation, and Community Development, took place at the Kahuripan Building on UNAIR\u2019s MERR-C Campus on Tuesday, November 24, 2024.<\/p>\n\n

In her opening remarks, Prof. Puspaningsih underscored the vital role of university-industry collaboration, particularly in navigating global economic challenges. \u201cThis collaboration offers strategic benefits, driving both academic and industrial sectors forward by accelerating innovation and facilitating knowledge transfer,\u201d she explained.<\/p>\n\n

Several leading companies that are central to global industrial growth participated in the workshop, including Yang Ming Marine Transport Corporation and Quanta Computer from Taiwan, as well as Terra Charge and PT Daiki Axis Indonesia from Japan. Participants represented six UNAIR faculties: FST, FK, FKM, FEB, FTMM, and Faculty of Vocational Studies.<\/p>\n\n

Global Industrial Collaborations<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n

Titi Kharisma, a representative from Yang Ming Marine Transport Corporation, shared her perspective on the integration of digital technology within maritime transport. She emphasized that continued collaboration between universities and industries could significantly improve the efficiency of global logistics and supply chains. “We believe that working with UNAIR will speed up the adoption of cutting-edge technologies, such as real-time automation in logistics, which is crucial for boosting global efficiency,” she said.<\/p>\n\n

Shardad Hung from Quanta Computer echoed these sentiments, highlighting the importance of aligning information technology with education through collaborations with UNAIR. He cited the integration of electronic medical records into hospital databases as an example of how these partnerships can drive innovation. “This initiative presents new opportunities for those aiming to develop information technology,” he noted.<\/p>\n\n

In addition to advancements in information technology and transportation, PT Daiki Axis Indonesia and Terra Charge contributed to the discussion by focusing on sustainable energy solutions and industrial wastewater management. These efforts are aimed at promoting greener, more sustainable industrial practices.<\/p>\n\n

The workshop concluded with a Forum Group Discussion (FGD), where participants were divided into groups to discuss action plans for collaboration between UNAIR\u2019s six faculties and the participating industries from Japan and Taiwan. Key topics included internships, collaborative research projects, and technology transfer initiatives. Those involved are optimistic that these partnerships will not only elevate academic research but also lead to sustainable innovations.<\/p>\n\n
