UNAIR NEWS<\/strong> \u2013 The East Java Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappeda Jatim) has collaborated with 51动漫\u2019s<\/a> Faculty of Public Health (FKM UNAIR) to address tuberculosis (TBC) in the province. The partnership culminated in a final seminar held on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at the Dewa Ruci Room, Airlangga Convention Center (ACC), on UNAIR\u2019s MERR-C Campus. This initiative is part of Bappeda Jatim\u2019s strategy to combat the disease.<\/p>\n\n

The collaboration seeks to accelerate efforts to eliminate tuberculosis in East Java. Prof. Dr. Ratna Dwi Wulandari, SKM, MKes, chair of the initiative, stated that the Regional Action Plan (Rencana Aksi Daerah\/ RAD) developed through this program would be submitted as part of a gubernatorial regulation.<\/p>\n\n

\u201cThe RAD document we are finalizing today will be attached to the governor\u2019s regulation, serving as a guideline for all districts, cities, and regional organizations (OPDs) to implement consistent tuberculosis control measures,\u201d explained Prof. Wulandari.<\/p>\n\n

Tuberculosis cases have continued to rise throughout 2024, positioning Indonesia as the world\u2019s second-largest contributor to the global tuberculosis burden.
