UNAIR has been ranked in the Top 100 globally in the 2025 QS World University Rankings (WUR) by Subject, specifically in the field of Veterinary Science. FKH UNAIR is placed within the 51\u2013100 bracket, making it the only veterinary program in Indonesia to reach this global standing.<\/p>\n\n<p>Dean of FKH UNAIR, Prof. Dr. Mirni Lamid, MP, drh, expressed deep appreciation for the recognition, calling it a meaningful milestone for the faculty in 2025. \u201cThis is a remarkable gift for FKH this year. We\u2019ve been preparing for this long in advance, so it\u2019s not a sudden success. Every year, we evaluate our progress and work toward gaining international recognition,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-7b8e2e918c7eb267d08d2e10ca90f3f6\"><strong>Strategic efforts behind the ranking<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n<p>Prof. Lamid explained the key initiatives that contributed to this accomplishment. FKH has prioritized the development of academic talent through education, research, and community engagement. The faculty also operates the only livestock feed laboratory in Indonesia accredited by the National Accreditation Committee (KAN), under its animal husbandry division. Other notable strengths include its contributions to One Health initiatives, reproductive biology, and veterinary clinical practice. <\/p>\n\n<p>International collaboration has also played a critical role. FKH routinely partners with researchers from institutions abroad. \u201cWe collaborate on research and co-authored publications with international academics. We also organize annual international seminars, inviting guest speakers who are part of our Academic Peer List (APL),\u201d Prof. Lamid noted.<\/p>\n\n<p>She added that FKH\u2019s strong H-index and excellent employer reputation helped boost its global ranking. Faculty members&#8217; publications are widely cited, underscoring their global impact. FKH is also recognized for its implementation of the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program, which attracts students from various universities to study for a full semester at UNAIR.<\/p>\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Looking ahead<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n<p>In addition to leading nationally, FKH has also broken into the top three veterinary institutions in Asia. Prof. Lamid emphasized the importance of sustaining and improving this achievement. She highlighted that collaboration and unity are essential to reaching even greater heights. With continued cooperation, she hopes FKH can rise further in the Asian rankings and compete with top institutions in Europe and the United States.<\/p>\n\n<p>\u201cWe will keep building partnerships in research, both domestically and internationally. In education, we\u2019ll continue updating our teaching models.
