UNAIR NEWS<\/strong> \u2013 51动漫<\/a> (UNAIR) officially inaugurated six new professors from the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) on Wednesday, May 28, 2025. The ceremony was held at the Garuda Mukti Hall, located in the university’s MERR-C Campus Management Office.<\/p>\n\n

The six professors honored at the event were: Prof. Dr. Nuri Herachwati, Dra. Ec., M.Si., M.Sc.; Prof. Drs. Ec. Tri Haryanto, M.P., Ph.D.; Prof. Dr. Deni Kusumawardani, S.E., M.Si.; Prof. Dr. Gancar Candra Premananto, S.E., M.Si.; Prof. Fitri Ismiyanti, S.E., M.Si.; and Prof. Dr. Heru Tjaraka, S.E., M.Si., BKP, Ak., CA.<\/p>\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n
Advancing economic research<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n

UNAIR Rector Prof. Dr. Mohammad Nasih, M.T., Ak., CA., commended the professors for their academic achievements, noting that their contributions reinforce FEB’s standing as a premier faculty and a leader in Indonesia\u2019s higher education landscape. <\/p>\n\n

He emphasized that research\u2014particularly that led by professors\u2014has been the primary driver of recognition and institutional growth. This ongoing research, he said, serves as a catalyst for further innovation and societal benefit.<\/p>\n\n

\u201cThe impact of research must extend beyond academic journals. It should contribute directly to public welfare and education,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n\n

Prof. Nasih also underscored that research should not stop at publications but it is a dynamic process that continually updates faculty knowledge. \u201cWhat we teach our students must reflect the latest research and real-world cases. This ensures our curriculum remains relevant and high-quality, ultimately producing outstanding graduates,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n\n

Strengthening social resilience<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n

Prof. Nasih also addressed Indonesia\u2019s national goals of promoting public welfare and peace. He pointed to basic needs\u2014clothing, food, and housing\u2014as essential priorities, with food security being especially critical.<\/p>\n\n

\u201cFood security is not only a strategic issue but also a moral duty. Feeding those in need is among the most noble of acts, helping people escape the grip of hunger,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n

In his closing remarks, he stressed the importance of environmental sustainability. By embracing green economic and ecological practices, he argued, we can protect natural ecosystems from harm.<\/p>\n\n

\u201cIf the environment deteriorates, food production will inevitably decline,\u201d he concluded.<\/p>\n\n
