The team earns top honors in the national scientific writing competition (LKTI), hosted by UPH Tangerang on Friday, June 13, 2025.<\/p>\n\n<p>According to Yonathan, who leads the delegation, the team\u2014named Arjuna\u2014was initially formed simply out of curiosity and a desire to gain experience. The students joined without any expectations of winning.<\/p>\n\n<p>\u201cAt first, we honestly didn\u2019t set out to win. None of us had ever competed in an LKTI before,\u201d he said. \u201cBut over time, the encouragement from our MYMA mentors really inspired us to put in our best effort and eventually guided us toward victory.\u201d<\/p>\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-a0700bf0e81427da458c025ea833d253\"><strong>Innovating with AI<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n<p>The team\u2019s success is credited in part to their forward-thinking concept. Yonathan explains that their paper explores the potential of artificial intelligence in managing and organizing legal regulations in Indonesia. He believes the topic is especially timely given the nation\u2019s current legislative challenges.<\/p>\n\n<p>\u201cAs we all know, Indonesia\u2019s regulatory framework is messy and problematic,\u201d he said. \u201cThis disorganization causes ripple effects in how our government operates. That\u2019s why we propose using AI\u2014to streamline the legal system and make it more efficient and effective.\u201d<\/p>\n\n<p>Despite having a compelling concept, Yonathan acknowledges that conducting the research and building strong arguments was no easy task. He notes that LKTI writing requires a very specific approach. \u201cIt\u2019s a skill you really have to develop. Writing arguments that are concise, logical, and easy for readers to follow takes practice,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-db6634e05c4d982f682770ea4a1b94ea\"><strong>Call for <\/strong><strong>r<\/strong><strong>eform<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n<p>Through their work, Yonathan and his team hope to prompt policymakers to take meaningful steps toward improving Indonesia\u2019s national legal system. They see this as vital to realizing the country\u2019s ambitious 2045 Golden Indonesia vision. \u201cOur greatest hope is that decision-makers will act quickly to resolve the systemic issues plaguing our legal institutions,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n<p>In closing, Yonathan encourages fellow students to embrace opportunities to compete and grow. \u201cCompetitions help sharpen skills that are incredibly valuable in the workplace,\u201d he said. \u201cSo don\u2019t hesitate to join.
