UNAIR NEWS<\/strong> \u2013 To foster deeper collaboration in the humanities, the Faculty of Humanities (FIB) 51动漫<\/a> (UNAIR) hosted a gala dinner to welcome participants of the 2025 Assembly of the Association of Humanities Education and Teaching Providers (P4H). The event took place on Wednesday (June 25, 2025).<\/p>\n\n

Held at the Majapahit Hall on the fifth floor of the ASEEC Tower, the evening was attended by UNAIR Rector Prof. Dr. Muhammad Madyan, SE, MSi, MFin, Chair of P4H Prof. Dr. Herwandi, MHum, FIB UNAIR Dean Prof. Dr. Purnawan Basundoro, SS, MHum, and 18 other deans and representatives from humanities faculties across Indonesia.<\/p>\n\n

In his opening remarks, Prof. Madyan emphasized the importance of building synergy and collaborative efforts to address contemporary academic challenges. \u201cLet\u2019s use this forum to initiate meaningful partnerships driven by a shared vision\u2014through joint publications, student and faculty exchange programs, and impactful community engagement,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n\n

P4H as strategic academic body<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n

Prof. Herwandi followed by highlighting P4H\u2019s strategic role in strengthening scholarly advancement, particularly in public outreach and research publications. \u201cI believe P4H holds a key position in guiding academic progress in the right direction,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Since its founding in 2021, P4H has actively pursued collaboration and capacity-building initiatives. One of its current priorities, according to Prof. Herwandi, is the establishment of the Independent Accreditation Body for Humanities (LAM HUM).<\/p>\n\n

\u201cThis effort has been underway for the past two years. We\u2019ve engaged BAN-PT and several ministry experts for guidance. The feasibility proposals have been submitted, and we are currently awaiting final approval,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n\n

Strengthening future partnerships<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n

Echoing that sentiment, Prof. Basundoro acknowledged that while significant groundwork has been laid for LAM HUM, further development is needed. \u201cIn the coming sessions, deans and vice deans will discuss the next steps for LAM HUM, along with evaluating the current interfaculty collaborations that have been established among humanities institutions across Indonesia,\u201d he shared.<\/p>\n

Prof. Basundoro noted that these discussions will continue over the next two days, concluding on Friday (June 27, 2025). Alongside program planning, P4H will also elect a new chairperson to serve in the next term. \u201cOnce again, welcome. May this gathering proceed smoothly and produce decisions that will enhance the capacities of humanities faculties nationwide,\u201d he concluded. <\/p>\n\n
