The event featured Vicky Diestra Rusli, a Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist at Panamas, who provided an in-depth overview of the recruitment process, covering every step from initial application to final interview.<\/p>\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-684f3df8f1b63a4ae18790ea0130922f\"><strong>Understanding recruitment journey<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n<p>Rusli explained that the first stage in any recruitment process is the application, often involving hundreds or even thousands of candidates. \u201cAt the application stage, make sure all requirements are met\u2014for example, if there\u2019s a minimum GPA, failing to meet it will result in an automatic rejection,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n\n<p>He emphasized the importance of standing out in a competitive applicant pool. \u201cA strong CV helps, but it\u2019s not enough on its own. You also need to invest in developing your skills and expanding your network,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n\n<p>The next stage is the interview, which requires thorough preparation. Rusli advised candidates to focus on their appearance, first impressions, and practice. \u201cThink about your top strengths and biggest achievements. Also, take time to research the role and the company you&#8217;re applying to,\u201d he suggested.<\/p>\n\n<p>Following interviews, applicants often move on to the Focus Group Discussion (FGD) or Leaderless Group Discussion (LGD) phase. \u201cIn this stage, you\u2019ll be presented with a case to analyze and expected to offer practical solutions,\u201d Rusli explained.<\/p>\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-bd3b58a8c5b051f9dbdd047c2cd245b5\">Business case presentations<\/h5>\n\n<p>He noted that participants naturally fall into different roles during FGDs. \u201cSome become facilitators, others act as note-takers, some debate without offering solutions, and others take on roles like innovators or timekeepers. All roles are valid\u2014as long as they contribute constructively to the discussion,\u201d he clarified.<\/p>\n\n<p>The final stage typically involves presenting a business case, based on a scenario shared with candidates in advance. \u201cThere\u2019s no absolute right or wrong answer in these presentations.
