The initiative offered students and staff the opportunity to deepen their understanding of nursing, community health, family health, and gerontology. The five-day program ran from October 27\u201331, 2025.<\/p>\n\n<p>UNAIR\u2019s Faculty of Nursing sent several representatives, including Rinda Purnama Sari, an undergraduate nursing student. Throughout the program, participants attended thematic lectures and took part in field visits aimed at introducing Thailand\u2019s healthcare system and medical culture.<\/p>\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Motivation for joining exchange<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n<p>Speaking with UNAIR News, Sari said her primary motivation for joining the program was to broaden her understanding of primary care. \u201cMy main motivation was to expand my knowledge and skills in nursing through exposure to an international learning environment. I wanted to learn about healthcare systems abroad, especially those centered on primary care, and to strengthen my professional capabilities so I can contribute to global nursing practice,\u201d she said. <\/p>\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Activities at Naresuan University<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n<p>During her stay at Naresuan University, Sari attended multiple thematic classes, including School Health in Thailand. The sessions aligned closely with her interests in community, family, and gerontological nursing, all of which emphasize primary healthcare and holistic, age-inclusive patient care. Sari also visited the Child Development Center and Pak Reat Health Promoting Hospital, both of which provide community-based health services.<\/p>\n\n<p>One of Sari\u2019s most memorable experiences was a visit to Phitsanulok Hospital, where she observed a healthcare system that integrates technology and patient safety at every stage.<\/p>\n\n<p>\u201cAt Phitsanulok Hospital, I saw a service system that uses technology extensively to support patient safety. The entire process was efficient and patient-focused. The commitment to patient-centered care was evident, with patients truly placed at the center of every clinical decision,\u201d Sari said.<\/p>\n\n<p>Throughout the program, Sari also noted how Naresuan University emphasizes interactive, practice-based learning. Students are trained to think critically through discussions, simulations, and hands-on practice using advanced laboratory equipment, including SIM-MAN. <\/p>\n\n<p>\u201cThe learning system at Naresuan University promotes interactive and practical education. Students are encouraged to think critically through discussion, simulation, and laboratory practice with advanced tools like SIM-MAN. The environment also strongly supports international collaboration, creating an open and dynamic learning atmosphere,\u201d she explained.<\/p>\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Message for students interested in Student Exchange Programs<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n<p>At the end of the session, Sari encouraged UNAIR students who are considering student exchange opportunities to embrace new experiences and prepare themselves thoroughly, particularly in English proficiency.<\/p>\n\n<p>\u201cDon\u2019t hesitate to try something new. This program provides valuable opportunities to learn, build networks, and gain insight into global nursing.
