UNAIR NEWS<\/b> \u2013 The announcement of the 2026 National Selection Based on Achievement (SNBP) was an emotional milestone for Quinsha Sammy Al Huda. The 16-year-old from Kediri was moved to tears after learning that she had been admitted to her dream program, the undergraduate English Language and Literature program at the Faculty of Humanities, 51动漫 (UNAIR). Her achievement places her among the youngest freshmen at the university this year.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

Early interest in language<\/b><\/h5>\n\n

Huda\u2019s interest in English did not develop instantly but has been nurtured since childhood. She shared that her passion for the language began in junior high school. For her, English is not merely a tool for communication, but also a gateway to understanding the wider world.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

\u201cI was shocked and even cried when I saw the announcement, especially since English Language and Literature at UNAIR was my first choice. I started to become interested in English in junior high school, and in high school, I felt an even stronger connection to the subject,\u201d she said.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

Her decision to prioritize the English Language and Literature program reflects a deliberate effort to further develop her abilities in a professional direction. Huda believes that building strong language skills from an early stage will help her adapt more effectively to the high academic standards at UNAIR.<\/p>\n\n

An accelerated academic journey<\/b><\/h5>\n\n

Huda\u2019s academic path was notably accelerated. She began her formal education at the age of five and later enrolled in an acceleration program during junior high school. Although she will enter university at a younger age than most of her peers, she views this as a challenge rather than an obstacle. She sees the dynamic campus environment as an opportunity to learn from individuals with more experience.<\/p>\n\n

Her success in gaining admission through the SNBP pathway was largely driven by her discipline in the classroom. Huda consistently followed her teachers\u2019 guidance and actively engaged in discussions.<\/p>\n\n

\u201cThe key is to stay diligent and active in class. When teachers explain the material, I always try to follow their guidance carefully,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n\n

Preparing mentally and joining student organizations<\/b><\/h5>\n\n

As she prepares to adjust to university life and the environment in Surabaya, Huda also plans to take part in student organizations. One of her goals is to join AIESEC Surabaya to expand her international network. She also encouraged her peers to remain confident in pursuing their ambitions, even at a young age. \u201cStay motivated and never give up. When pursuing big goals, we need to keep moving forward and give our best,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n
