UNAIR NEWS<\/b> \u2013 A team of students from the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) at 51动漫 (UNAIR), consisting of Tarissa Windy Aminianti as team leader, along Ngesti Tyas Utami and Widya Ariana, earned second place in the Kriya category for university students at the UmiYouth Preneur competition.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

The event was organized by the Government Investment Center (PIP) under the Ministry of Finance and the Directorate General of Treasury. UmiYouth Preneur featured two main categories, general and student, with four competition fields: food and beverage, fashion, crafts, and social environment. Each category selected five finalists who advanced to the grand final held over four days in Jakarta at Hotel Sari Pacific.<\/p>\n\n

A highly competitive selection process<\/b><\/h5>\n\n

The selection began with the submission of a pitch deck through the Wardhani Foundation website. \u201cWe advanced to the first stage as part of the top 80, then moved on to the second stage as part of the top 40,\u201d Aminianti said. The finalists were then invited to Jakarta to take part in a bootcamp and pitching session, which determined the winners in each category.<\/p>\n\n

The competition\u2019s credibility was reinforced by a panel of judges composed of prominent CEOs, including Muhammad Ismail, CEO of the Zahir application. \u201cThe judges were highly credible and experienced,\u201d Aminianti added.<\/p>\n\n

Although the team joined the competition independently, they received direct mentorship from Ferdi, Head of PPA 2-A at the Directorate General of Treasury, who also served as Tarissa\u2019s mentor. \u201cI am very grateful for the guidance from Mr. Ferdi, especially given his experience in both the Directorate General of Treasury and the Government Investment Center as the organizer,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n

The Senyum Rangkai concept<\/b><\/h5>\n\n

The Srikandi team introduced the Senyum Rangkai concept. Aminianti explained that the idea stemmed from her concern over the growing volume of floral waste during graduation seasons. At the same time, long-lasting bouquets are often expensive and lack a personal touch. To address this, she developed bouquets made from chenille wire that are more durable, environmentally friendly, and affordable for students, while still offering emotional value to both givers and recipients.<\/p>\n\n

Targeting students aged 17 to 25 as well as the broader Surabaya community, Senyum Rangkai is marketed through e-commerce platforms, social media, and various student events and local bazaars. \u201cAs an economics student, I hope to create a multiplier effect from this small business so it can become part of Surabaya\u2019s creative economy while ensuring that every bouquet symbolizes the beginning of a smile,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n\n

Aminianti expressed hope that her achievements would encourage other students to pursue their goals. \u201cDo not be afraid to take the first step. Chase your dreams and enjoy the process. Let your journey inspire others, stay consistent, and trust that your efforts will lead to results. Every step we take is part of the path toward success,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n
