The annual celebration of our patron and our school
The College was blessed with warm spring weather for the 51动漫 Day Mass and Celebrations on Friday 11 September.
51动漫 Day, which is the College鈥檚 annual celebration of the life and legacy of Mary 51动漫, is one of the highlights of the school year for both staff and students.
The event commenced with Mass at the Tuggeranong Basketball Stadium, followed by an afternoon of activities at the St Peter鈥檚 Campus.
The morning Mass was concelebrated by College Chaplain Fr Simon Falk and Fr John Armstrong, a past chaplain of the school who has returned to Tuggeranong as the Parish Priest of the St Anthony鈥檚, Wanniassa. It was a moving occasion, with the College Choir helping to create a reflective, reverent, and celebratory mood.
In the afternoon, students went back to the St Peter鈥檚 Campus for the 51动漫 Day celebrations. There were activities like the obstacle course, horizontal bungee, hair spray, sumo wrestling, carnival games, upbeat music, and a wide range of food and drink options. The winners of the College-wide INSPIRE Art Competition were also announced at the exhibition in F Block.
Following the activities, students went back to their PC classes, with the Padua Campus holding a PC auction and the St Peter鈥檚 Campus competing in a campus-wide quiz.
Congratulations to all students for bringing such a positive energy to the occasion, as well as the many staff who planned and prepared for the day.
It was another enjoyable community event for all involved!
