UNAIR NEWS A student from the Accounting Study Program, Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), 51动漫 (UNAIR), has once again achieved international recognition through his innovation, Eduventure. Muhammad Maulana earned four awards: 1st Media Presentation, 1st Best Group, 1st Best Presenter, and the highest honor, Best Delegate, at the Changemaker Youth ASEAN Excursion (CAYE ASEAN) Batch 4.
The youth program, organized by Changemaker Indonesia, took place in Singapore and Malaysia from Monday to Friday, April 6 to 10, 2026. Maulana was selected as a fully funded delegate after competing against applicants from various educational backgrounds and universities across Indonesia to present solutions addressing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Eduventure innovation for education in 3T regions
He received the awards through his Eduventure application, which focuses on addressing the issue of Quality Education (SDG 4). The concept highlights challenges such as learning fatigue and limited literacy among students in disadvantaged, frontier, and outermost (3T) regions. 淚n response to these issues, we designed Eduventure by combining access to education with game-based elements, making learning more engaging and challenging, Maulana explained.
To address limited internet access in remote areas, he introduced an offline module digitalization feature. 淲e developed a scanning system where books from libraries in major cities such as Jakarta or Surabaya are digitized and transferred, allowing students in regions such as Papua to access the materials offline, he added.
In addition, the system is supported by integrated features, including student learning progress tracking, achievement dashboards for teachers, and AI Consulting. This smart mechanism enables educators to analyze students development and capabilities from primary to secondary levels.
Sweeps international awards
Beyond the strength of his idea, thorough preparation conducted a month in advance played a key role in Maulana檚 success in securing four awards. He effectively applied direct questioning techniques to engage the audience during presentations. His inclusive leadership style also contributed to his recognition as Best Delegate.
淭he Best Delegate award evaluates overall performance, including how we solve problems in the field, lead activities, and collaborate with the team. The key lies in collaboration and giving others the space to speak, so we do not appear dominant while still conveying our ideas effectively, Maulana said.
Looking ahead, he hopes his achievement will inspire other students to compete on the global stage. 淭he sky is wide enough for everyone to fly. International opportunities are widely available. The key is not just desire, but the courage to take action, strengthen determination, and maximize effort, Maulana concluded.
