(21/5/2023) | The 2023 SNBP route has reached its final stage; it has been announced. The Faculty of Law, 51动漫 (FH UNAIR) accepted 70 new student candidates from the SNBP 2023 route, including prospective new students who got a Golden Ticket. The Golden Ticket itself is an extra ticket for prospective new students who register at UNAIR using innovation, entrepreneurship, organizational and managerial achievements, leadership, sports, religion, and other achievements according to the choice of the study program.
One of the FH UNAIR Golden Ticket recipients this year was Moh. Rofiul Fahmi. In an interview with FH News on Wednesday (17/5/2023), Rofiul said the reason for choosing FH UNAIR to study was because FH UNAIR was number one in Indonesia. Rofiul also explained about the Golden Ticket he got.
“The 2023 SNBP Golden Ticket route is intended for prospective students with extraordinary academic and non-academic achievements. The requirements are quite simple. First, students must become eligible SNBP students at their respective schools. Second, students must also take part in Airlangga Education Expo activities. And finally, they must have extraordinary achievements in the academic or non-academic fields. For this year, the maximum that is submitted is five achievements,” explained Rofiul.
Rofiul mentioned what five achievements he listed when registering for the Golden Ticket. The five achievements are a certificate for the Indonesian delegation at the 7th ASEAN Student Forum conference, a certificate for the third best delegate at the 2021 Young Ambassador Global Youth Conference international conference, a certificate for achieving a B Plus score in the Science Social Indonesia 2021 competition in the English field, a certificate for top seven in the storytelling competition such as tate University of Surabaya 2022, and certificate of Coordinator of the Aspirational String Division of Malang Regency, East Java Children’s Forum.
“So, the achievements that I listed are two at the international level, two at the national level, and one at the provincial level. Achievements at any level can be listed, but at least at the provincial level. This year, UNAIR Golden Ticket applicants reached around 700 students, and only around 100 students were accepted,” he added.
Rofiul also explained that this year’s UNAIR Golden Ticket category slightly differed from the Golden Ticket category in previous years. This year, the Golden Ticket is divided into platinum and golden categories. He entered the platinum category.
“The difference is that platinum has a one percent chance of ‘error’, while gold has a two percent chance. Because we have to wait for a decision from the Ministry of Education and Culture as well as for Golden Ticket recipients. The announcement coincides with the announcement of the 2023 SNBP,” said Rofiul.
Rofiul admits that one day he wants to major in international law. He has been interested in participating in various international activities since high school, such as his achievements in participating in two international conferences. He also plans to join the Airlangga Debate Society student activity unit because he likes debating.
In closing, Rofiul conveyed tips and tricks for prospective students who want to register on the UNAIR Golden Ticket route.
If it’s a child’s term now, you must be’ ambitious’ if you want to register for a Golden Ticket. Ambitious in seeking as many certificates as possible, starting from competition certificates, organizations, conferences, and others. You have to start planning from the start where you want to go so you know which route you want to enter college with, “he concluded.
