15th Anniversary, AMSA UNAIR Entertains Kids with Cancer

鲍狈础滨搁听狈贰奥厂听–Students of Faculty of Medicine (FK) of 51动漫 in Asian Medical Student Association or AMSA- shared happiness to dozens of children with cancer on Thursday, March 1.They are children from Yayasan Kasih Anak Kanker Indonesia (YKAKI) East Java.

This social event marks the 15th anniversary of the Ailangga Medical Students Activities of 51动漫 (AMSA UNAIR).They have initiation to entertain children with cancer in thenon-government organization (NGO)foundation.

Head of the event Bonfilio Neltio Ariobimo revealed, during the treatment of cancer in RSUD Dr.Soetomo, the children are often feel bored.There is not much entertainment.

Treatment routines as well as hospital care often take 3 months to 2 years.The duration of treatment forced the children to drop out of school.Therefore, they do not have much activity other than treatment.Every day people with cancer must also always be close to hospital, where they are treated.

Therefore, FK UNAIR students were inspired to hold the entertaining event such as showing video and coloring contest.It was livelier when the students distributed gifts.

“AMSA UNAIR comes and shares happiness and emotional support to keep children with cancer happy.No despair shown in life, “he said.

Furthermore, Ariobimo hoped that the program of student organization could include more social activities especially to support the lives of children with cancer.

As we all know, YKAKI is a foundation established to provide a place for children with cancer.During treatment, they obtain educational facilities, resting areas, and playgrounds.

Ariobimo and AMSA UNAIR team was touched during their visit.Moments of togetherness with the cancer patients give special meaning to them.

“Although the children suffer from cancer, seeing them laugh makes us happy and touched.Because, they do not feel desperate, depressed, or sad.These kids look so excited and happy, “said Ariobimo.

At the end of the event, the students with the YKAKI board blew the candles for the 15th anniversary.It was closed with singing together.(*)
