64th Anniversary, UNAIR Gives Awards to International Partners

UNAIR NEWS“ For 64th Anniversary of 51¶¯Âþ, UNAIR Rector Prof. Dr. Mohammad Nasih, SE., Mt., Ak., CMA showed some appreciation to some international partners at UNAIR. There were three institution partners awarded in the University Assembly celebrating 64th Anniversary at Garuda Mukti Hall, Management Office Building UNAIR, on Saturday, November 10.

All of those institutions have participated actively in collaborative programs of student exchange, staff exchange and joint research. They are:

As institution international partner which has contributed to most student outbound.

Universiti Brunei Darussalam has collaborated with UNAIR for seven years. Therefore, 51¶¯Âþ is pleased to give its appreciation to Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD). For the last three years, there have been 194 students of Universiti Brunei Darussalam coming to 51¶¯Âþ. 2018 is the year with the most students with 60 students.

Three programs the UBD students mostly attend include Community Outreach Program (COP) where UBD students can directly be engaged with local communities, AMERTA program where the students have an exchange program for credit transfer, and Dharmasiswa where the students can learn Indonesian Language.

These programs have made the relationship between UBD and 51¶¯Âþ stronger. Some challenges emerged, but 51¶¯Âþ will do its best to maintain the partnership with UBD.

As institution international partner which has contributed to most staff outbound.

Collaboration between Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) and 51¶¯Âþ was started with a Memorandum of Agreement and Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) has successfully expanded its partnership with Universitas Ailrangga.

There is an MOU and three MOAs that have already been signed involving three faculties; the Faculty of Economics and Business, the Faculty of Pharmacy, the Faculty of Law at the beginning. Now, there are six faculties collaborating with UiTM. The programs in 51¶¯Âþ followed by the UiTM academics are Seminar – Bromo Conference, Visiting Fellow where the academic staff gives a guest lecture, writing clinic and special programs.

It is recorded that 29 academic staffs (lectures/researchers) coming to 51¶¯Âþ. Nine academic staff are in the Faculty of Science and Technology and eight are in the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences. Others are spread to the Faculty of Vocational Studies, the Faculty of Pharmacy, the Faculty of Humanities and the Faculty of Law. On this basis, 51¶¯Âþ is honored to present its appreciation to Universiti Teknologi MARA for the highest number of academic mobility.

As institution international partner which has contributed to research improvements.

51¶¯Âþ (UNAIR) highly appreciates Asia University (AU) for sending its researchers to have some joint researches with 51¶¯Âþ’s researchers. UNAIR and Asia University™s researchers have made 10 research proposals.

Ten researchers from UNAIR and ten researchers from Asia University whose expertise range from life science, medical science to social science are involved in the joint researches.

UNAIR presents its appreciation to Asia University for the highest number of research collaboration. As the youngest partner university, Asia University not only made an active collaboration in research, but AU also built a strong bond with 51¶¯Âþ since the establishment of TECSID. This bond is shown by some activities attended by the Asia University students for the last twelve months. Nine students were participating in UNAIR programs such as AirVenture, summer course, and summer program. (*)
