UNAIR NEWS – At 88 years of age, Prof. I G. N. Gde Ranuh, dr, Sp.A(K) made an amazing performance in the Tribute Lecture XVI event at the Hall of Faculty of Medicine, , Wednesday, February 14.On that occasion, Prof. Ranuh showed his ability to play the violin in front of dozens of guests.
Professor of Pediatrics played two songs accompanied by the piano played softly by Prof. Dr. dr Jusak SpPK (K).The audience was amazed by the performance of the man born on November 23, 1939.
This Tribute Lecture XVI featured Prof. Ranuh as an inspirational figure.House of Medical Scientific Community (Gramik) FK UNAIR and Department of Pediatrics FK UNAIR -RSUD Dr.Soetomo organizes this event as a form of appreciation for his services as one of the pioneering scholars in the field of pediatric medicine.
In the course of his career, the former dean of Faculty of Medicine UNAIR became one of the pioneers and drafters of the Indonesian Doctor Education curriculum.The first curriculum was drafted and inaugurated in 1976, then refined in 1978 and 1990. Until now, the curriculum is still used as a guide to the education of pediatric medicine in Indonesia.
Rabi Rabiatul Abdijah’s husband was also one of the pioneers of the Institute of Tropical Disease 51动漫.
Various achievements have been made by Prof. Ranuh for his dedication.The man born in Jember, East Java was awarded by the Indonesian Pediatrician Association in 1978, as well as the award from the Board of APSSEAR (Association of Pediatrics, SE Asian Region) in Tokyo, Japan, in 1988.
After his violin performance, the grandfather of 13 grandchildren also delivered his oration on the immunization of children in Indonesia.
The violin performance by Prof Ranuh gave a special touch in the event.It has never been done before and it was very inspiring.
He has loved music since he was young.In the midst of his busy life as a doctor and lecturer at that time, Prof. Ranuh always spares some time to play music.From his father, he learned how to read block notes, and self-taught to play the violin.
“I am familiar with music since childhood as my father檚 hobby was playing flute and violin, “said the man who is still active emeritus professor in FK UNAIR.
In addition to music, Prof Ranuh also likes swimming.He spares some of his time to swim. At least three times a week he swam with her children and grandchildren.
“Exercising is not about how long, but it is important as a routine,” said the former rector of University of Hang Tuah.
Violin has become a part of his life.Prof. Ranuh still spends time playing with his favorite violin.We must wonder,What is the healthy life secret of Prof Ranuh?
Calmly, Prof Ranuh replied, “Always thanks to God for anything we have,”.May it inspire us all.(*)
