UNAIR NEWSÌý“ Center for Career and Entrepreneurship Development (PPKK) explores for future cooperation with Bank Indonesia (BI) by holding Airlangga Career Workshop.ÌýThe activity was held on second day of Airlangga Career Fair (ACF) on Thursday, March 14, 2019 at Airlangga Convention Center (ACC) Campus C.
Janu Dewandaru, as Head of Division of Culture and Change Management atBank Indonesia (BI) revealed that the purpose of the activity was to introduce the participants to the position that could be filled by applicants and also requirements to join as part of (BI).
“In 2030, Indonesia will become the fifth largest country in the world.ÌýAre we able to keep Indonesia together eleven years from now?This is a real challenge in facing Industry 4.0, ” he said.
In this regard, BI has a function to maintain the stability of the country’s finance while simultaneously contribute to being the best.ÌýIt also cooperates with other ministries in maintainingsupply security.
There are more than seventeen thousand islands that have not been touched by digitalization.ÌýBI has a mandate to guarantee the spread of paper money to the outermost islands in Indonesia.ÌýThe presence of currencies in the Indonesian border region shows the existence of Unitary State Republic of Indonesia (NKRI).
Janu also explained that currently there are five areas needed by BI, such as information technology, mathematics, development economics and law.ÌýApplicants will also have the opportunity to develop their potential and expertise.
Before the event was ended, BI conductedinterviewsto applicants who have submitted their CV first.ÌýSelected applicants called for aninterviewwith Bank Indonesia (BI).Ìý(*)
