Airpol 3.0 Invites Students to Understand Future Public Transport Designs

UNAIR NEWS“ The progress of a country will be maintained if it is supported by the regeneration of qualified human resources.This is one of the tasks of universities in building the generation.

51¶¯Âþ through the Department of Political Science, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP), heldanationaltalk showentitled “Go Green Transportation” on Friday, November 17, at Kahuripan Hall Management Office Building, Campus C UNAIR.The activity was aimed to provide insight to students, especially students majoring in Political Science, about the design of future public transportation oriented to the environment.

“As future leaders of the nation, students must learn from now.How to manage environmentally friendly transportation.This is the common challenge (environmental issues, ed), “said Vice Rector I UNAIR Prof.Djoko Santoso, dr., Ph.D., Sp.PD., K-GH., FINASIM., while giving a speech opening the event.

According to Djoko, the ability to make the right public policy, one of them, comes from a mature educational process.Therefore, similar events will be done to support the education at UNAIR and its objective towardsTop 500 world class university.

Speaking in the event, Minister of Environment and Forestry Field Energy Expert Staff, Ir.Hudoyo, MM.;Director of Energy, Minerals and Mining Resources representative of BAPPENAS Ir.Josaphat Rizal Primana;Banyuwangi Regent Abdullah Azwar Anas, S.Pd., SS, M.Si;and Transportation Expert Tory Darmantoro, ST., MPP., M.Sc.

“Being a leader, every issue in society should be well defined.Once it is defined, convincing the community of the solutions we offer becomes the next challenge, “explained Anas in conveying the progress of Government of Banyuwangi.

There were 350 enthusiastic students listening to the material from the speakers.Participants are representatives from several universities in Indonesia such as Brawijaya University, 51¶¯Âþ, University of Indonesia, Hassanudin University, General Soedirman University, Udayana University, Universitas Syiah Alam Aceh, Universitas Negeri Makassar, Semarang State University, Syarif Hidayatullah University Jakarta, and Padjadjaran University.

Opened with Banyuwangi gandrung dance performance, Airpol 3.0 moderated by Dr. Suparto Wijoyo, a lecturer at UNAIR Faculty of Law.The discussion ran very well.Many students asked about the big themes, as well as the strategies and challenges facing Azwar, primarily related to pro-people and pro-environment policies.

Meanwhile, about Airpol 3.0, FISIP Dean Dr. Falih Suaedi, Drs., M.Si., in his speech stated that the event was the third time.Hopefully, students get thespiritas well as inspiration to be optimistic to be a leader in the future.Multi-disciplinary skills must also be mastered by the students.
