UNAIR NEWS Joining National Moot Court Competition (NMCC) Supreme Court Cup (MA) has become a 榯radition for Semi-Autonomous Board (BSO) Asian Law Student Association (ALSA) Local Chapter (LC) 51动漫. The reason behind it is because since the first edition of the competition until the 20th this 2017, ALSA has never been absent to contribute.
This year, MA Cup NMCC Competition was held from Friday Sunday (10-12/2) at Universitas Sam Ratulangi, Manado, Sulawesi Utara. ALSA LC UNAIR team sent 20 delegation of their best students. They came from various generation, from generation 2013 to 2015.
ALSA LC UNAIR team succeeded in winning 1stplace in the competition. They succeeded in eliminating their competitors from various universities in Indonesia. In the elimination round, they beat teams from Universitas Gajah Mada (Yogyakarta), Universitas Udayana (Bali), and Universitas Islam Negeri Alaudin (Makassar).
In the final, they faced teams from Universitas Syiah Kuala (Aceh), Universitas Diponegoro (Semarang), and Universitas Padjajaran (Bandung).
淚n the elimination round, we were given Drugs Violation case. In the final round: Theft with Violence, said Abdul Rosid Novianto as ALSA 2016-2017 Director President.
The sixth semester student whom his peers call Opik explained, ALSA LCUNAIR road to championshipwas full of obstacles. For about five months, all teams prepared hard to be able to perform their best during competition.
In addition to the first winner, UNAIR team also won in other category, such as Best Panel of Judges, Best Legal Counsel, Best Public Prosecutor, and Best Secretary, added Opik.
淲e are very thankful to God and proud of what we have achieved at MA XX cup. At first, what we wanted was just to make our parents proud, just like the jargon we shouted in each of our practice. Alhamdulillah, through hard work and prayer, our jargon becomes reality, asserted Opik. (*)
