UNAIR NEWS In order to give community service, alumni of Faculty of Economics and Business (IKAFE) 51动漫 class of 89 held a mass circumcision event with at least 71 participants from Surabaya. It was held in Ulul Azmi Mosque Campus C, on Sunday, December 24.
Head of 89 M. Rusdy Kurniawan said that this community service is held every year. 淟ast year we held similar event by giving donation to orphanage and also giving some package to the cleaning brigade of Surabaya. But for this year we held a mass circumcision event for kids, said Rusdy.
The mass circumcision was participated by kids from one year old to 16 year old free of charge. There were at least 71 children and mostly were under ten years old. They were circumcised by mantri (male nurse). After being circumcised the participants got a package.
Through the event, Rusdy hoped that the community service will inspire other alumni to help the people. 淗opefully this event will be useful and inspire other alumni as well, he said.
One of the participants, Rizky, 8, did not seem to be nervous before being circumcised. 淣ot nervous, said Rizky when he was asked. His parent, Rosyid, expressed his gratitude to the committee. (*)
