Amerta Candradimuka Introduces UKM to Freshmen Early On

UNAIR NEWS– After doing roleplay activities aimed to generate students™ critical thinking on some problems and donating books and toys for those in need, freshmen took part in activities providing insights about 51¶¯Âþ.

In this year™s Amerta Candradimuka event, freshmen were invited to learn more about Student Activity Units (UKM) at 51¶¯Âþ.It is called Panca Tirta Display UKM, an activity aimed at introducing freshmen that facilitates the students to actualize all potential interests and talents.

Being held at the Student Center Campus C 51¶¯Âþ, the event was opened by Vice Rector I 51¶¯Âþ, Prof.Dr.Djoko Santoso, Ph.D., K-GH., FINASIM., on Monday, August 6.The opening of Panca Tirta Display UKM was marked by ribbon cutting by Prof.Djoko and the guests.

Prof.Djoko said that current academic and non-academic potential in 2019 UNAIR could reach the 630th rank of the world.However, this will be achieved if all students support this goal.One of them is by supporting UKM activities not only at the local and national levels, but also at international level.

“For this reason, you must be active in UKM activities and contact their colleagues abroad to find out what UKMs with global scale.After that, make activities that improve international recognition, “he added.

Meanwhile, Abdul Chaq as the coordinator of Panca Tirta said the purpose of UKM display was to introduce freshmen that UNAIR has a place to actualize all of the students™ potential interests and talents.Freshmen can excel not only in the academic sector but also in the non-academic sector.

“This UKM display is mandatory for freshmen because this activity was regulated with Rector’s Decree,” he added.

Every Garuda is given 45 minutes to go round the Student Center which showcases various UKM.They are also welcome to enjoy performances from the UKM.

The Panca Tirta activity was held for two consecutive days, there were 16 garuda taking turns to go round the Student Center.Freshmen were also given booklets to report on UKM internships they are interested in.
