UNAIR NEWS– Despite the heat, the participants did not lose spirits to win medals at the Archery Rector Cup.There were 32 representative teams of all faculties at 51¶¯Âþ showing their best performance.They were competing to be the best and be the grand champion in theevent.
Archery Rector Cup was held on Saturday-Sunday, November 11-12 in the parking lot of Airlangga Convention Center, Campus C UNAIR.The event was held to celebrate the 63rd Anniversary of UNAIR.Interestingly, most of the participants are freshmen in 2017.
There were several numbers in the competition, individual, team, andmix team.Rector Cup is expected to bring up talented archery athletes who will bring good reputation for UNAIR in the national and international arena.
This year, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (FKH) became the grand champion of Archery Rector Cup.They collected four gold and two bronze medals.Furthermore, Faculty of Humanities (FIB) was the second and Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) was ranked third.
Joy seen from the faces of FKH contingent. Despite sending 12 people, 10 of them were class of 2017, FKH contingent remained optimistic.The managed to win the championship.It was a worthwhile result as they trained intensively for two weeks before the championship.
Rector Cup at the same time ended the apprenticeship of Archery club in 2017. In accordance with the rules in UNAIR, every new student must attend an internship activity in 2017. After that Archery club will open registration for UNAIR students who want to become members in the near future .(*)
