UNAIR NEWS– The B-STEAM team received gold achievement awards in the presentation and poster category at 31st National Student Science Week (PIMNAS). Thebiggest studenteventin Indonesia was held at the end of August to early September (30/08 – 02/09) at Yogyakarta State University (UNY).
PKM Team supervised by Kustiawan Tri Pursetyo, S.Pi, M.Vet is a mixed team from different faculties in who are all members of Reasoning Club (UKM).The B-STEAM team consists of Ningsih Putri Herman (Chemistry/ 2017), Hilmi Putra Pradana (Environmental Technology / 2016), Akhmad Affifudin Al-Anshori (Veterinary Medicine/ 2016), Mulida Agustina (TIHP/ 2017), and Ula Zidni A.I. (TIHP/ 2016) as team leader.
Looking back, during the External Monitoring and Evaluation, Ula, the team leader, had thought that his team would pass the prestigious PIMNAS event.
“The initial prediction was right, because the jury gave signs and congratulated us to meet in Yogyakarta after a question and answer session.Thank God, in the announcement Allah blessed our team to qualify, “said Ula.
B-STEAM team and 6 other teams were immediately prepared to go to PIMNAS 31 for about 1 month.During preparation, it was not as smooth as it looks because there are problems.Ula himself admitted that there was often friction between team members and differences of opinion. But Ula was grateful that Garuda Sakti member provided assistance to IKA-PIMNAS, Siti Nurmala, who was always patient to accompany each step and there was always a supervisor.
“Thank you to Mr. Kus as supervisor who always monitors and listens to our complaints, even he is in his doctoral study in Malaysia and there was assistance from all TPK lecturers,” said Ula.
Ula added that on behalf of the team, she was also very grateful to Dr.Eduardus Bimo Aksono H., M. Kes., Drh and Nita Citrasari S.Si., MT, who are never bored to give feedback, criticism, and suggestions.
This B-STEAM team, the presentation on the first day was in the 4th turn. During the presentation, the video prepared inPowerPointcould not play but blocking fortunately could be done.The question and answer session was very tense but all questions were answered smoothly.
In the announcement, Ula believed whatever the results, the PIMNAS 31 contingent of UNAIR had tried its best.
