Mahenda Abdillah Kamil, S. Stat, a 2012 UNAIR alumni who currently serves as a director and commissioner in five companies is the speaker for the event.The online discussion talked about topics around post-campus life that are often experienced by students after being graduated.It aims to optimize the benefits of digital world that can provide an overview on post-campus life.
Mahenda said, the importance of having a good track record during college is one of the benchmarks for students when they want to work in a company.The track record can be obtained from organizational experience and achievements in various types of competitions.
“There are three benefits that we gain from joining organizations.The three things areproblem solving ability,public speaking, determination and loyalty, “he said.
These three elements are the most important things for someone who wants to get a successful career after college.The achievements obtained in the future are the result of the process that has been done before.
In addition, Mahenda does not only provide steps or tips for at the company.He also explained to participants the right steps in facing business change in the digital era.Innovation in business is inevitable for business people in the world.
“BMW we once knew was an automotive company that was engaged in the sale of airplanes during World War One.However, since the transformation in the world of the automotive industry, BMW is required to follow the trends and target markets, ” he said firmly.
In the end of the discussion, Mahenda shared the secret of his success in working in a company, teamwork.Without teamworkthe company’s business will not run as good as they are now.
