UNAIR NEWS –听As part of events in Mental Health Week entitled Atmalexia (Atma: Mental, Lexi: Healthy) to commemorate the World Mental Health Day on Wednesday, October 10, BEM Faculty of Psychology (FPsi) 51动漫 (UNAIR) collaborated with Ibunda .id and Menjadi Manusia held a听talk show听on Saturday, October 13.听In addition to the听talk show,听Psycological First Aid听training was conducted听by Lisyo Yuwanto, a clinical psychologist and practitioner of听psychological first aid.听Art Exhibition听consists of听dark room, screen room, wall of thoughts, visual rooms, and听music therapy听.
The听mental health听talk show听was divided into four sessions with different topics.听The first session was opened by Andrea Gunawan (Independent Consultant and Date Coach) and Linda Setiawati, M.Psi., Psychologist (clinical听psychologist for听personal growth) who discussed听toxic relationships.听Furthermore, the second session was by Adjie Santosoputro (practitioner of听emotional healing) and Atika Dian Ariana, S.Psi., M.Sc (clinical psychologist and mental health) discussing听How to Respect Others in Social Media.
For the next session, there were Alvi Syahrin (writer) and Linda Setiawati, M.Psi.,Psychologist (clinical psychologist for听personal growth) to discuss听learning to rest not to quit.听The session was closed by听dr. Jiemi Ardian (mental health professional) and Octian Anugeraha (founder of听听) discussed听How Can We Find the One听.
Desi Putri Pertiwi or known as Tiwi, the person in charge of the activity, explained that this time FPsi BEM UNAIR collaborated with Ibunda.id and Menjadi Manusia.听Menjadi Manusia is a听platform听that concerned听with mental health.
For this collaboration, Tiwi believed that whatever is good through social media and one of them is global mental health day celebration, can attract people especially millennials to be aware of the importance of maintaining the mental health of each individual.
“In this听talk show, we invited and educated people to become individuals who are aware of the importance of mental health in a more casual and preferable by the millennials,” she said.
In addition, continued Tiwi,听art exhibition听is an exhibition that combines elements of art and psychology.听There are several psychological methods through means of self-reflection.听For example, through a听dark room.听Visitors can express their feelings by shouting or spilling paint.
Then, the听visual room听was surrounded by quotes about mental health and several other visual arts.听There was a听screen room for screening short films about mental health.
Music Therapy, which is a room that has five different sound categories such as therapeutic instruments for people with schizophrenia.听And finally the听release room听for therapy releasing negative energy in the individual.
“Art exhibitions听and vent听corners are听places to reduce and let go of existing problems by daring people to tell their stories.听Because, when you are aware, individuals will be better able to realize when they feel different so they can maintain their own mental health, “he said.
“In addition,听wall of thoughts, visitors can share stories by writing them on the wall,” he added.
Tiwi hoped that the event can provide education to public, to help them maintaining mental health.听And, when they are able to maintain their mental health, they can become agents to remind or educate the importance of mental health to the surrounding community by not excluding their own health.听(*)
