UNAIR NEWS As a form of attention to holidaymakers in welcoming the Eid-ul-Fitr holiday, Ministry of Community Service, Student Executive Board (BEM) 51动漫 (UNAIR) provided free exodus ttransport. It was a collaboration of BEM UNAIR with Transportation Agency (Dishub) and Traffic and Land Transportation Agency (DLLAJ) of East Java.
The holidaymakers gathered in the hall of Management Office Building on Saturday, July 2 and it was attended by 344 of them. Present during the proceeding, Kurniawan Hary, ST, MM, The Chief of Transportation Development Division, DLLAJ of East Java, and Pulung Siswantara, the representative of Student Affairs Directorate UNAIR.
淓id-ul-Fitr holiday celebrated annually is the moment to get back home to hometown. As we have concern to students originally from out of town. Then, we and the university management facilitated their exodus, said Fardhan Setyo alamsyah, Minister of Community Service, Student Executive Board (BEM) UNAIR.
This free transport service was not only for students of UNAIR but also opened for public. BEM UNAIR provided 344 seats for all destinations. There are eight buses provided with destinations of cities or town in East Java. The quota was met with 220 UNAIR students and 124 seats for general public.
淭here were eight buses with six routes of destinations. Two routes for two buses, they are from Surabaya Kertosono Kediri Tulungagung – to Trenggalek and from Surabaya Jombang Nganjuk Madiun to Ponorogo, Fardhan said.
The Chief of Transportation Development Division Dishub LLAJ Kurniawan Harry said that this free exodus transport has been held many times. He said that Dishub of East Java provided the fleet free of charge to transport the holidaymakers before and after the holidays.
淭here are 510 buses in total to provide free mass exodus transport in East Java, to and from their hometown, said Harry. Those facility transports were not only buses but also trains.
This year was the fourth year of for the free transport provided for students and the public. It was used to be handled by Islamic Student Activity Unit (UKMKI) UNAIR. (*)
