UNAIR NEWS –Student Executive Board Student Family of 51动漫 (BEM KM UNAIR) has established preparation autonomous body Airlangga Kawan Disabilitas (Akadi).The organization under the BEM KM UNAIR was inaugurated by the Director of Student Affairs.Hadi Subhan, Thursday, September 14.
“We hope (UNAIR) will be able to join hands with all elements in order to spread the benefits for all parties and play a role in creatingexcellencewith morality,” said Hadi in the inauguration of the event held in the Hall of Student Center.
Head of the External Relations Division BEM KM UNAIR who was also in charge of the program Abdul Basit said that Akadi was initiated by a number of students with special needs.They then discussed with the management and assisted by BEM KM UNAIR to establish the organization.
According to Abdul, Akadi will help students with special needs in terms of lectures.The trick, is to provide training to non-disabled students who are willing to assist colleagues with special needs during the learning process.
“Akadi, in the future, will generally facilitate students with special needs in terms of lectures.Introduce the students that we need to embrace student with special needs because they are very potential and have similar spirit and achievement that is not inferior to others, “explained Abdul.
The formation of Akadi is expected to foster the spirit to the students so that the friends of disability do not feel alone.“Hopefully with the official establishment of Akadi it can accommodate the friends with disability and also bring benefits for us all,” he added.
Alfiyan Andhika Yudhistira, a blind student of Sociology undergraduate program Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, who attended the inauguration ceremony Akadi very much hope that the existence of new autonomous body under the BEM KM UNAIR can spread the benefits for disability students.
In line with Alfiyan, Head of BEM KM UNAIR Anang Fajrul hoped that Akadi’s existence can be informed to all UNAIR students.
“Hopefully this intention and care can be disseminated to all students and also can accommodate the needs of friends with disability,” said Anang.
