The monolog opened the show from the comedian as well as famous ludruk actor Kartolo, at the Faculty of Humanities (FIB) auditorium, 51¶¯Âþ, Friday (2/12). Hustle, bustle and cheerfulness wrapped the show held in order to celebrate 18th FIB Anniversary.
Kartolo, who is more widely known as Cak Kartolo, succeeded in inducing laughter with his jokes among the audience of lecturers, teaching professionals, and students. During his show, he congratulated FIB UNAIR for their anniversary in exclusive East Java Javanese language.
In the same occasion, Cak Kartolo invited two FIB department heads namely Gayung Kasuma as History department head and Dwi Handayani as Indonesian Literature department head to accompany him. The audience roared with laughter when the Dean of FIB 1999-2003 period Prof. Wahjoedi and Vice Dean I Puji Karyanto were able to match Cak Kartolo™s jokes.
The program was closed with tumpeng (rice cone) cutting by Diah Ariani Arimbi., Ph.D with the FIB Anniversary Head of Committee 2016 Tita Rismayanti. Family atmosphere became deeper when they had lunch together and took photos together with all attendees.
Cak Kartolo was invited to brighten the party as part of UNAIR effort to preserve traditional heritage. Besides, Cak Kartolo™s present was hoped to be able to improve student insights about East Java special arts and entertainments. More importantly,Cak Kartolo™s East Java stand up comedystyle doesn™t focus merely on the jokes, but it adds moral messages into the jokes.
In addition to laughter with Cak Kartolo, FIB Anniversary also presented Culture Parade and Dean Cup. The 18th Anniversary of FIB was hoped to be able to brighten various cultural programs at UNAIR. (*)
