Celebrating 26th Anniversary, FKM UNAIR Holds Free Eye Test

UNAIR NEWS听听– As a part of 26th Anniversary of Faculty of Public Health (FKM) 51动漫, Public Eye Hospital East Java听Goes听to Campus was held听at UNAIR Faculty of Pharmacy Multipurpose Building on Wednesday, November 6, 2019.

The event was held from 8:00 to 13:00 and was attended mostly by FKM UNAIR academic community. Dean of FKM UNAIR Prof. Dr. Tri Martiana dr., M.S. also gave an opening remarks before proceeding to a sharing session on eye health.

In the event themed Healthy Sight Sharing, Looking Good, Seeing Well, there were also some speakerssuch as dr.听Budy Surakhman, Sp.M and dr.听Fitria Kusumastuti, Sp.M.听Both came from Eye Community Hospital (RSMM) of East Java.

In addition to听sharing听activities听on eye health issues, RSMM East Java held a free eye examination and consultation for visitors.听Only by showing the coupons distributed during registration, visitors can get service and get a certificate after the event.

Silfa Pernika Reskhy, S.I.Kom, a representative of RSMM East Java revealed that the activity was a collaboration with FKM UNAIR to introduce students to the importance of maintaining eye health while participating in 26th Anniversary celebration. “I hope this activity will continue to develop and its promotion will be strengthened even more so the number of participants will also increase. Furthermore, it is a mean to establish friendship between participants from fellow faculties and other institutions attending at the event, ” Silfa said.

Meanwhile, Arira Celia Virta Parawansa, an FKM UNAIR student, said that this event was quite good because they did not only get tips for maintaining eye health, but there were also quizzes with interesting prizes. “I hope this activity continues to be held because it is very helpful for students to do health checks in the midst of busy lectures, easy access like this is very beneficial especially without being charged. In the future it might be able to give other health services, ” she concluded. (*)
