UNAIR NEWS The members of Workshop Entrepreneur Business Society (WEBS) 51动漫 will hold another annual great event. In the last trimester of 2016, WEBS will hold WEBS Entrepreneur Festival Day (WEFD). The grand theme for this year is 楨ntrepreneurship in Urban Lifestyle.
榃EFD is our annual event and this year is the third organization. It is a series of event which finally empower young entrepreneurs, said the Head Committee of WEFD Wahyu Dwi Kristyanto.
In WEFD, there are four interesting events open for public, from the academician or general public with business and entrepreneurship interests. The four events business idea competition 楴ational Youth Innovation Competition (NYIC), a bazaar 楽unrise Market, 楧iscussion Innovative Entrepreneur (Discover), and 楿rbanites Festival.
In NYIC, WEBS members have decided business proposal theme to compete on. The theme for the business idea competition this year is 楿rban Life Solutions. The participants are asked to send proposals and product display of their business ideas appropriate with the theme decided. Registration is opened from August 1 to September 15, 2016.
The proposals are going to be selected by judges who are experts in the field. As planned, September 22, 2016, ten selected finalists will be asked to present their proposals and product displays. NYIC will be held in Fadjar Notenegoro Hall, Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), UNAIR.
Beside NYIC, WEBS will also hold a discussion attended by successful businessmen in creative industry. It will be packaged in a talk show and meet and greet with three directors of malesbanget.com (Christian Sugiono), Men檚 Republic (Yasa Singgih), and Jakarta Euphoria Project (Keenan Pearce). It will be held on October 7, in Garuda Mukti Hall, Management Office Building UNAIR and open for public.
淲e from the committee want to incite entrepreneurship spirit of youngsters. They shouldn檛 only concern about their college, but they can start a business early on, said Wahyu.
Entertainment
In 楽unrise Market, WEBS will present more than 70 stands of culinary, clothes, handy craft arts, and accessories. The visitors will be invited to have fun in morning calisthenics, and entertained by UKM performances and art communities in Surabaya. The 楽unrise Market will be held in Airlangga Convention Center on Spetember 18, and October 2, 2016, while the stands will be opened from August 15 to September 15, 2016.
As the closing act in WEFD, Urbanite Festival is planned to invite popular groups such as Sheila on 7, The Sigit, Danilla, and 4Indie Band. The music shows will be held in Surabaya Town Square atrium in October 9, 2016. The visitors will be able to enjoy the music shows while browsing in the bazaar, enjoy hand lettering workshop, and event photo competition. (*)
