UNAIR NEWS Not for long, the gate towards dream universities will open. Students are getting ready to compete and struggle for a place in their desired university. Various preparations have been made by the universities, including 51动漫.
In a press conference for publicizing SNMPTN, UNAIR Rector Prof. Dr. Moh. Nasih, SE., MT., Ak., CMA said that UNAIR will have different procedures of single tuition fee (UKT) payment.
Regarding the sum, there are no changes for UNAIR, but the mechanisms are being reviewed, he said in the press presence in his room on Monday, January 16.
Looking at the great number of students asking for tuition fee remission, Prof. Nasih said that there will be some changes. 淭here is a case, some students get UKT 5. But in the next semester, they asked for a remission, it is being reviewed. We are formulating a payment procedure in advance, so in a form of university aid. But later, it lower the fee, he said.
It was considered because of economical changes from the students. Even it is lower in calculation, but Prof. Nasih believed that it will be useful socially.
淭here are a lot of students left by their parents or there is termination of employment (PHK). UNAIR concerns with them who are economically challenged, he said. 淲e want them, who are economically challenged, to be able to compete, he added.
But the procedure still depends on the public檚 response, if they responds positively, it may be pulled off. But if they responds negatively, UNAIR will keep referring to previous UKT payment procedures.
Furthermore, regarding Bidikmisi scholarships, Prof. Nasih stated that all economically challenged students to apply for Bidikmisi program even though there is a view which says Bidikmisi students will fail if they are not accepted in SNMPTN and SBMPTN. However, in UNAIR, Bidikmisi students are also considered in independent admission channel.
淪o, don檛 worry if the students fail in SBMPTN or SNMPTN, as UNAIR also considers Bidikmisi through independent channel, he said. 淭he rich can have private lessons, call teachers at home for preparation. If they succeed in SNMPTN, it is normal. So, we must concern with the economically challenged students, he said.
Regarding the lower quota of SNMPTN and SBMPTN this year, Prof. Nasih stated that the university wants to be more selective in admitting students. He believed that only students with great potentials are admitted in the university.
In the occasion, Prof. Nasih also commented on possibility of CBT (Computer Based Test) system used for this year檚 admission test. For this year, test quota for CBT nationally reaches 30,000 participants while UNAIR will support CBT test quota about a thousand participants.
淚n the future, CBT will be pushed. 30,000 has not reached 5 percents of the total sum. It檚 very small. Therefore, we will push and fully support the policy, he said. (*)
