UNAIR NEWS “ Studying the Master program (S-2) and working as a mechanical engineer is not an easy responsibility. He also has responsibility as a father who has two children.
However, it could be handled by him well. He awarded as best graduate of master program from Faculty of Economics and Business 51¶¯Âþ in graduation ceremony. He earns 3.88 GPA.
David is a mechanical engineer at the Department of Design of PT Petrokimia Gresik, a subsidiary of PT Pupuk Indonesia engaged in the business of fertilizers and chemicals. According to him, working and studying was a challenge for him, especially in time management. He is required to carry out the obligations related to his daily work at the office and also must complete deadlines of college tasks.
“I am very grateful for the support of the family who has sacrificed their family time and relentlessly encourage me. Thank also to the management of PT Petrokimia Gresik for all the support and dispensation given to complete this study, “said David.
Because of working in a state-owned company, David used the opportunity to write research for his thesis from where he works in. He chose the theme of “Business Strategy Review of PT Petrokimia Gresik in Order to Increase Competitiveness to Win Business Competition and Respond to Global Challenge.
“I took this title in the hope that it can contribute to the company as a reference in formulating its business strategy to achieve the objectives, goals and vision of the company to be a producer of fertilizers and chemicals that are highly competitive and the most popular product,” said the Mojokerto-born 6 May 1985.
To his juniors, David advised they should study with high motivation and a strong commitment. “As Abraham Lincoln says, Commitment is what transforms A Promise into Reality. I can only give tips to decide, commit, succeed, “said David
