UNAIR NEWS – Synergy and collaboration between scientific fields and stakeholders in welcoming the industrial revolution 4.0 in all fields of pharmacy is the key to the success of Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences(DIK), Faculty of Pharmacy,(FF UNAIR).Evidently, throughout 2020, DIK has made many achievements for UNAIR from national to international levels.
DIK FF UNAIR oversees two study programs (prodi), Masters Program in Pharmaceutical Science and Doctoral Study Program of Pharmaceutical Science. The Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences is a combination of the three previous departments, Pharmacognosy and Phytochemical Expertise Group (CBC), the Pharmaceutical Chemistry CBC and the Pharmaceutics CBC.
Dr. Apt. Juni Ekowati, M.Si. as Head of Department of Pharmacy, FF UNAIR, said that DIK UNAIR had made many achievements. A total of 21 DIK lecturers made achievements as part of the 210 best researchers of UNAIR according to Google Scholar. Moreover, three research lecturers have the best paper achievements by the Kemenristekdikti version.
“One of the lecturers, Prof.Dr.Apt.Siswandono, MSi.also has an achievement as abest-sellingbook writerand the highest-selling book version of AUP, ” she added.
These achievements, she continued, are expected to inspire other researchers and have a positive impact in providing solutions to problems of the nation.Mainly in the preparation of raw materials, development of pharmaceutical preparations in the form of drugs, food and cosmetics, quality assurance of processes and products, formulations,drug delivery,manufacturing systems and their safety.
Furthermore, there are many products from the downstream research of DIK FF UNAIR. Such as meditea, diabetakol, natubet, no pain, keshwari and prohealth which can be felt directly by the community.
“There are also books by lecturers which are very useful in the learning process of students at 51动漫 as well as pharmacy and health in general,” she added.
Dr. apt. Juni Ekowati added that DIK FF UNAIR has an MBKM (Freedom of Learning Independent Campus) program as well as research collaborations with both domestic and foreign researchers. In a pandemic situation, DIK staffs are also involved in the covid-19 vaccine discovery team and research for new drugs for covid-19.
Apart from education and research, DIK FF UNAIR also has routine community service activities which are carried out every year in several target villages. According to her, DIK lecturers are also involved as volunteers who are members of community service and service under the coordination of the Ksatria Airlangga Floating Hospital (RSTKA).
“I hope DIK FF UNAIR can participate actively, responsively and innovatively in solving the nation’s latest problems related toDrug discovery and development, Analysis development and Product Development,” she concluded.(*)
