UNAIR NEWS Inodonesian proverb which says 淲here there is sugar, there are ants could illustrate what happened in Airlangga Convention Center, Campus C, 51动漫 on Thursday, March 31. Thousands of jobseekers crowded the building for 淎irlangga Career Fair XXVI 2016 held by Career and Entrepreneurship Development Center (PPKK) UNAIR. There will be many companies, institutions providing scholarships and entrepreneurship products in the fair held for three days.
Some of the jobseekers were accompanied by their parents. They could not stand watching their children queuing in a long line. They waited for hours for their children to queue and apply for jobs. As what experienced by Darti, 54, Jember native, she accompanied her child who was graduated from S1 Informatics, Universitas Jember (UNEJ).
淚檝e been here since 6 in the morning. There檚 already a line, Darti said.
The first day, ACF was opened at 8 a.m. But to anticipate the crowds, some jobseekers came earlier than the opening schedule.
Similar thing experienced by Efendi, 60, Lumajang native. The retired civil servant had been there since 5 a.m. accompanied his child who was graduated from S1 Law UNEJ to apply for jobs in ACF.
淚檝e been here for five hours, but my child isn檛 out yet, said Effendi.
Not only the parents of bachelor (S1) graduates were there, Nurcholis, 56, was there to take his children who have finished their master programs(S2).
淎ctually there is a job offer for my child, but it檚 not quite interesting. So I took my child here, said the man from Wiyung, Surabaya.
The parents mostly hoped that their children accepted in institutions they are interested in.
淚n any companies as long as my child interested in is okay with me, said Darti. (*)
