UNAIR NEWS Amalia Rosyadi Putri is an alumnus of Media and Communication Master Program class of 2013. This mother of one graduated in 2015 and is considered to have fast study for only one and a half years. After graduating, she became a at Tribakti Islamic Institute, Kediri. Then she continued her study at 51动漫, Social Science Doctoral Program, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences.
The former broadcaster of Andika FM Radio followed a selection to be a commissioner of East Java Regional Indonesia Broadcasting Commission (KPID) this year. After passing a number of stages, she was chosen as one of the seven commissioners; precisely as the Coordinator of Broadcasting Material Supervision Department. Governor Soekarwo inaugurated her and her colleagues on 6 December 2016.
When asked about her target for the future, this born Ngadiluwih, Kediri woman explained that she and her colleagues were determined to build a healthy and educative broadcasting atmosphere in East Java. 淭elevision and radio have to educate the people. They mustn檛 be manipulative let alone be the loudspeaker of false accusation, said this puppet art enthusiast.
Amalia proposed that broadcasting activities must be guided by the applicable rules; for example, the ones stated in Guidelines for Broadcasting Code of Conduct (P3) and Standards on Broadcasting Program (SPS). In the event of violation, the local KPID has the authority to give warning or even sanction.
According to plan, this week KPID will summon six broadcasting institutions which indicate violation. The aim for this is to clarify several points which are considered violating the rules. If it is proven as a violation, KPID will take strict measures.
淕ood broadcasting has an important role in producing the next generation who is able to be ahead of the time, tough, and independent, Amalia expected.
As with her doctoral study, Amalia set a target to graduate at least in three years. She is also wishing to stay active in developing researches about media, whether in college or even after she graduates. (*)
