UNAIR NEWS The leadership cycle of the organization continues. Welcoming the new management, Garuda Sakti held a grand discussion at the Shared Lecture Building (GKB) Campus MERR (C), 51动漫, on Saturday, December 10, 2022. The discussion was an annual program that was held by the end of the period.
Selection stage
The head and deputy candidates started the discussion by presenting their vision, mission, and program, and delivering orations. The Garuda Sakti members also actively participated in the question and answer session. The head and deputy candidates were selected according to the electability survey BPI had previously conducted.
The sessions were followed by a grand discussion between the Garuda Sakti members, resulting Amadeo Lemuel and Monika Astria Br Gultom chosen as the Head and Deputy of Garuda Sakti.
Amadeo Lemuel elected as Head
Amadeo Lemuel was happy and proud of the result. However, he believed that the trust given is a big responsibility, as he will lead the organization檚 movement for a period with challenging dynamics.
淗onestly, I never thought I would gain the trust of becoming the head of Garuda Sakti 51动漫, he said.
Deo檚 long journey in the organization, from human resource development (PSDM) to the head of Garuda Sakti was not easy. He was disappointed in the 2020/2021 period as he did not get the desired position. As he followed the process, he gained positive impacts and wonderful experiences, including leadership.
淚nitially, I registered for the PKM division as my first choice. However, I got accepted at the PSDM division, Deo said.
The Faculty of Advanced Technology and Multidiscipline (FTMM) student believes that he should not fear the challenges coming his way. They should be faced by playing roles of PSDM division well through bonding, workshops, and internal and external collaborations.
淚檓 sure that Garuda Sakti 2023 will transform better, Deo said.
Deputy Statement
The deputy of Garuda Sakti Monika Astria Br Gultom was happy and proud of the achievement. Initially, she was hesitant to take the position, as she has been busy with her studies, internship, fieldwork practice (PKL), and Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka program. However, she believed with her experience and well-managed time management, she could do her job well.
淚 was hesitant whether I檒l be able to assume the strategic position well. However, I fought my fear and negative thoughts to face any challenges. I believe that youth is short. While I檓 young, I檇 like to make beautiful memories and enjoy them, she said.
The Faculty of Humanities (FIB) student has prepared various actions. She has set her goals and priorities, managed her time well, and learned the situations to make wise decisions to bring positive impacts to people around her.
