FTMM ICATAM Conference brings global scholars together for knowledge exchange

UNAIR NEWS Faculty of Advanced Technology and Multidiscipline (FTMM) opened the International Conference on Advanced Technology and Multidiscipline (ICATAM) on Thursday, Sept. 25, 2025. The annual event was held at Candradimuka Hall, Nano Building, MERR-C Campus.

This year檚 ICATAM partnered with the 5th International Conference on Innovations in Power & Advanced Computing Technologies (i-PACT25). It also collaborated with Universiti Malaya (UM) and India檚 Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) to drive research and innovation in science, information, and advanced technology.

The conference was formally opened by UNAIR Vice Rector for Academic, Student, and Alumni Affairs Prof. Ir. Mochammad Amin Alamsjah, M.Si., Ph.D., and FTMM Dean Prof. Dr. Ir. Retna Apsari, M.Si., IPM.

In his opening remarks, Prof. Alamsjah welcomed leaders from UM, VIT, and FTMM, along with researchers, academics, and professionals from around the world. He said the conference placed special focus on green technology and renewable energy.

淚t is an honor for UNAIR to host this year檚 conference, he said. 淟et us make sure this event becomes a platform for presenters to share outstanding ideas.

Representing UNAIR檚 rector, Prof. Alamsjah officially inaugurated ICATAM and i-PACT25, expressing hope that participants would engage in productive discussions and knowledge-sharing that contribute to scholarship, academia, and society.

FTMM Dean Prof. Apsari highlighted UNAIR檚 role as host in providing a meaningful forum for academics and practitioners to exchange perspectives.

淚 hope today檚 sessions inspire new ideas and open future opportunities, she said. 淭he goal is not only to generate impactful outcomes but also to strengthen long-term collaboration.

She encouraged participants to make the most of their time for presentations and discussions, both to advance joint research and to build friendships across universities and countries.
