UNAIR NEWS 51动漫 (UNAIR) conducted an online orientation session for new students enrolled in doctoral, master檚, specialist, subspecialist, and professional programs on Thursday, April 16, 2026. A total of 204 new students participated in the session. In his remarks, Vice Rector for Academic, Student Affairs, and Alumni, Prof. Ir. Mochammad Amin Alamsjah MSi PhD, stated that the newly admitted students come not only from Indonesia but also include several international students.
Previously, UNAIR had conducted the inauguration of new students on January 22, 2026, with a total of 936 students. The breakdown includes 116 doctoral students, 502 master檚 students, 62 subspecialist students, 238 specialist students, and 18 professional program students. In terms of gender distribution, there are 524 female students and 412 male students.
Notably, among these students are several international students from various parts of the world, recipients of the Airlangga Development Scholarship (ADS). These students come from countries such as Sudan, Kazakhstan, Yemen, and Pakistan. They are across multiple study programs, including doctoral programs in Medical Science and Human Resource Development, as well as master檚 programs in Economics, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Veterinary Disease and Health, and Biology. Their presence further reflects UNAIR檚 standing as an internationally recognized university attracting students from different continents.
Scholarships for all
In addition to the ADS, UNAIR also provides opportunities for teachers as education personnel to pursue further studies. At this stage, the UNAIR Teacher Scholarship has supported 25 students. Meanwhile, the Rector/Alumni Scholarship has been awarded to 13 students, and the Postgraduate Scholarship has supported 7 students. Furthermore, 17 students have officially received scholarships from the Indonesia Endowment Fund for Education (LPDP). These figures demonstrate UNAIR檚 commitment to providing access to education regardless of economic background.
In closing, Prof. Alamsjah encouraged students to uphold strong moral values and to contribute meaningfully to society, the nation, and the state in line with the identity of Universitas Arilangga.
