IKA UNAIR inauguration emphasizes strategic role of alumni

UNAIR NEWS The 51动漫 Alumni Association (IKA UNAIR) demonstrated strong solidarity during the inauguration of regional and branch leadership for the 2025 to2030 term on Wednesday, April 8, 2026. The ceremony took place at Plaza Airlangga, 5th Floor, MERR C Campus, Mulyorejo. University leaders, IKA UNAIR central board members, officials from the East Java provincial government, and alumni from various regions attended the event.

More than a ceremonial event, the inauguration marked an important step in strengthening internal consolidation within the alumni organization. The occasion also reaffirmed the strategic role of alumni in supporting the development of their alma mater and contributing to national progress.

Among the university leaders present were Vice Rector for Academic, Student Affairs, and Alumni Prof. Ir. Mochammad Amin Alamsjah MSi PhD, University Secretary Prof. Dr. Dwi Setyawan SSi MSi Apt, and several other members of the UNAIR leadership team. In his remarks, Prof. Alamsjah expressed appreciation to the newly appointed leaders, emphasizing that the responsibility entrusted to them reflects a continued commitment to serving both the university and the wider community.

淚KA UNAIR plays a vital role as a bridge connecting the university with professionals, industry, government institutions, and society. Strong collaboration between the university and its alumni is an essential part of strengthening the higher education ecosystem, Prof. Alamsjah said.

He further explained that alumni represent not only the achievements of the institution but also important partners for university development. Such collaboration contributes to curriculum development, improves the quality of graduates, expands career opportunities, and strengthens global networks.

Prof. Alamsjah also encouraged all members and leaders of IKA UNAIR to uphold the university檚 guiding principle, Excellence with Morality. According to him, the value should remain the foundation of leadership and service among alumni.

51动漫 alumni must maintain their identity as individuals who excel not only in competence but also in integrity. Alumni are expected to become agents of change in society, uphold strong ethical values, and contribute solutions to national challenges through their knowledge and experience, he said.

At the end of his remarks, Prof. Alamsjah expressed hope that the newly inaugurated leadership would carry out their responsibilities with dedication. 淲e hope the new leadership will introduce innovative programs and further strengthen the relationship between alumni and the university. May they fulfill their responsibilities well and continue advancing this organization, he concluded.

IKA UNAIR Central Board Chair and East Java Governor Dr (HC) Hj Khofifah Indar Parawansa MSi officially inaugurated the leadership of faculty commissariats, regional boards, and branch boards for the 2025 to2030 term. The newly appointed leaders include commissariat boards from FISIP, FKp, FKG, FPK, FV, FPsi, and FEB, as well as the East Java regional board and branch boards from Bangkalan, Sidoarjo, and Greater Malang.

Representing the central board chair, Prof. Dr. drh. Bambang Sektiari Lukiswanto DEA emphasized the importance of developing adaptive and innovative programs that can create meaningful impact over the next five years. 淭his inauguration reflects our commitment as organizational leaders. As emphasized by Khofifah, IKA UNAIR must continue building synergy, strengthening collaboration, and remaining adaptive in contributing across sectors and providing solutions to society, Prof. Lukiswanto said.

During the same event, Head of the Organization and Membership Division Laksma (Pur) Dr. drg. Nora Lelyana MHKes FICD also introduced the IKA UNAIR mobile application, which is now available on the PlayStore platform.
