UNAIR NEWS (UNAIR) Rector, Prof. Dr. Mohammad Nasih, MT, AK, CA, officially conferred full professorship upon six distinguished scholars from the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP). The newly appointed professors include Prof Dr Septi Ariadi Drs MA, Prof Dr Koko Srimulyo Drs MSi, Prof Dr H Mohammad Adib Drs MA, Prof Sulikah Asmorowati SSos MDevSt PhD, Prof Dr Siti Mas檜dah SSos MSi, and Prof Dr Dwi Windyastuti Budi Hendrarti Dra MSi.
The inauguration ceremony took place at the Garuda Mukti Hall within the Management Office Building on UNAIR檚 MERR-C Campus on Thursday (February 27, 2025). In his remarks, Prof. Nasih expressed optimism that the newly appointed professors would contribute in advancing the academic environment and fostering a stronger educational ecosystem in the years ahead. 淭his is an extraordinary opportunity, as the mantle of academic authority now rests upon your shoulders, he stated.
Emphasizing crucial role of educators
This ceremony marks the beginning of a new chapter for the newly inaugurated professors, granting them greater academic freedom and influence in their respective fields. Prof. Nasih emphasized that this new status brings a responsibility to produce research-based, logical, and analytical contributions that can shape educational and societal progress.
He further highlighted the importance of nurturing highly skilled individuals to strengthen Indonesia檚 workforce and reduce unemployment. As scholars at the forefront of academia, UNAIR professors bear a significant duty in cultivating future leaders. The more highly educated individuals a society has, the greater the prospects for producing outstanding future generations.
